  1. OK, appreciate it, Clayton.
  2. From the upstate of South Carolina, wishing you all good luck that none of you are hurt or lose anything to the fire. Maybe the smoke eaters can knock it down pretty quick.
  3. OK, thanks for the replies and info.
  4. sleeper for? I saw this and it piqued my curiosity. Seeing it is from a truck driving school, would it be where new candidates were signed up or is it used for another purpose? I've never seen one before and thought maybe one of you guys know for sure.
  5. The Monogram kits are easy as far as fit issues. Like you, I hope Salvinos can make it as well because what they are cranking out are desirable to fans of NASCAR from the 70's and up. And a lot of their kits can be used to make cars for several drivers with aftermarket decals. I don't know what they have announced but if the licensing isn't ridiculously expensive, they should consider producing kits of other popular drivers of the late '70s & early 80's since a change of decals opens up to a wider fanbase. And with time, maybe they figure out the fit issues.
  6. Great looking build. The decals really stand out even on the tires. It's disappointing to hear the Salvino Jr. kits are hard to work with. I have plans to build 2 Chevys and 2 Olds(3 for Earnhardt Sr. & Neil Bonnett's Armor All) later on.
  7. I have the Tom & Jerry and Woody Woodpecker Monte Carlos in my stash(the two on the top left). I plan to get the Huckleberry Hound one as well(top right). I'm a huge Woody Woodpecker fan and would love to build Rick Mast's version but I'll have to settle for diecast since no one makes the decals that I can find. Wow, nice collection Steve. I didn't realize there were that many different schemes of the Cartoon Network cars.
  8. Very nice build.
  9. Glad I could help.
  10. I'm not sure if this will work but the side windows and the front end look to me to be close enough for a starting point. Go to eBay and search "Revell 2007 Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo model kit". I know Danica's is an Impala but it looks pretty close. Try Southern Motorsports Hobbies for the decals. http://stores.smhracing.com/88-go-daddy-com-2010-danica-patrick/ Hope this helps.
  11. I had a1969 Chevelle Malibu with a 350 engine. Technically, the last "Chevelle Malibu" was made in '77. In '78, Chevy dropped the "Chevelle" and from then on they were just "Malibu"(per Wikipedia). My Grandmother had a '75 Chevelle Malibu and I even liked the look of it. It had those Grandma miles on it.?
  12. Chevy Chevelle and Monte Carlo, the Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am and Grand Prix, and the Buick Riviera thru '73.
  13. Very clean build. Well done.
  14. I run an ad blocker on my desktop but not on my tablet. I have MCM whitelisted on the desktop. I visit the site Railpictures. com and to be able to see the pictures, you must whitelist it. Believe me, the ads here are invisible compared to the other site.
  15. Bill, sorry to hear about your aunt. I don't know if I would have the intestinal fortitude to climb back on a plane after as close a call as this seems to be. I think I'd buy a bus like John Madden did. Alan Kulwicki was flying to Bristol also when his plane crashed and all on board were lost in 1993.
  16. I just ran across this: https://www.foxnews.com/auto/dale-earnhardt-jr-tennessee-plane-crash-nascar I hope all the best for everyone involved.
  17. With the Bristol race coming up this weekend, two battles at the end of the 1995 and 1999 Bristol races came to mind. I am still a huge Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan even though he's been gone for over 18 years. Terry Labonte was also a fave because he was a top-notch driver and it didn't hurt that he drove a Chevy(bowtie all the way, altho I have some other makes in the stash). Here are links to a couple of videos of them racing each other at Bristol. Enjoy! https://m.nascar.com/video/franchise/this-moment-in-nascar-history/this-moment-in-nascar-history-earnhardt-rattles-labontes-cage/ https://m.nascar.com/video/franchise/all-access/labonte-i-wanted-to-t-bone-earnhardt-at-bristol-in-1999/ After what happened at the end of the 1999 race, the celebration was considerably muted for me because of the way Sr. had to win. Not cool, although he was still my driver.
  18. Another clean build with lots of detail. Well done.
  19. Well done as always. By all the Terry Labonte builds you do, I think you might have been a fan of his.
  20. Very sharp.
  21. Great looking build. Lots of small details makes it catch your eye.
  22. Thanks for the links, Russell. They were very informative.
  23. After seeing the blue one, I prefer the one with the headlights above the fenders. To be honest, I didn't know Hudson even made a pickup until I saw the red one. There is a thread on the board discussing making a 3D printed grille for it. There is a good picture of a stock Terraplane in the first post. I would love to build one but I'm afraid it's too rare to be made in styrene.
  24. Ran across and thought I'd share: 1937 Hudson Terraplane Custom Pickup And I don't even like red!!
