  1. Check out The Airbrush Cleaning - Ultrasonic Cleaner. Topic. Lots of good advice on airbrush cleaning Mike
  2. Lets have an Airbrush cleaning shoot out at the OK Coral. I left out a couple of steps. I use jewelry bead reamer to smooth out the inside of the tip, the part that the needle slides through, and the trigger. Anything that I can clean with a micro brush or old paint brush. A drop of oil where the trigger hits the air release valve. I use the 6,000 8,000 and 12,000 polishing sheets on the needle. It sprays better than new. Mike 1017
  3. I clean mine after every use. I have timed myself 7 minutes start to finish. There is a lot of stuff on You Tube about Airbrush maintenance. Mike.
  4. It is a shame that with kits pushing $30.00 and not to mention this is the 21st century that decal quality is still an issue. Is the decal manufacturing process too old and worn out? What ever happened to dip in water and apply? Even old Tamiya decals seem to withstand the test of time. Contracting out to Slixx would be a great solution. Mike
  5. What I do. Use one of those decal setting liquids on the body first. The setting solution and water makes the decal very slippery. Once I get into in to position, I will use a Q Tip or paper towel to suck up the extra water and work out any bubbles Good Luck Mike
  6. Thanks for starting this. Shapeways is the most aggravating place to search. Mike
  7. This is a great Drag Racing site. I have spent hours here and H.A.M.B GEORGE KLASS REMEMBERS... - HOME
  8. I traded my 1971 Mach 1 {I still hate myself} for an all white 1973 Buick Regal. A beautiful car. Mike
  9. My local Hobby Lobby's stock of Testors has been getting low and they are not restocking it. Soon I hope they start selling Revell paint. I bought some on line . The enamel is like Testors .The acrylic's are very good. Mike

  15. It was Monday morning and I noticed a lot on members on the forum. So I was wondering are all these people retired like me. Check in while working? Took the day off? Heath problems? Filthy rich don't work? Live in different time zone? While I was working I never went on line only the weekends. Mike
  16. Just curious
  17. There are 58 members and 132 guests on line today 10.45a. Are all of you retired like me ? Mike
  18. This much better Thanks Rob
  19. This is great. IMO you need more time between pictures to study each one before it switches. It is just to fast for me. Looking forward to more comparisons Mike
  20. I had the same problem . I bought one of those large refill bottles. When it was about half empty I pulled the tip out of all the pens and poured it into the refill bottle. The tip on the refill bottle is small and comes out drip by drip. Some masking tape and a steady hand I can do all of the chrome with a brush. Mike
  21. I had a 1973 Vega GT. Red, black stripes, white raised letter tires and a 4 speed. I LUVED that car. Fun to drive with the 4 speed. No engine problems I traded in for a 1976 Buick Regal. When I was growing up once you paid off your car it was time to buy a new one. Mike
  22. For as long as I can remember every time we need to change the clocks. This discussion takes place. I do understand the pros and cons. Come on it is only 1 hour. I am in favor of anyone of the permanent time changes. Mike
