  1. Here's a new build I built for my friend's 40th birthday. It's a replica of his GMC Syclone pickup. More pics and all the build details at the link. My website
  2. I've been wanting to build another custom van for a while. Finally decided my Pinto funny car needed a tow vehicle. I built the van from a mint unbuilt AMT '75 kit and designed my own custom decals to match the Pinto. There are more pics and all the build details at the link. More Pics and Build Details
  3. Wow... that is some neat model making work there.
  4. That car seems familiar to me for some reason. Seriously though, great looking model and very nice paint work.
  5. Great looking model! That would make an excellent track day toy. P.S. I love your "up on the lift" shot.
  6. That's an amazing piece of modeling. The whole concept and execution on right on!
  7. It has an engine, but I mostly build curbside models so you wouldn't be impressed by it. I hate detailing engines and I don't build models for contests. I really admire those who do build nicely detailed engine bays, but for me, modeling is supposed to be fun. So, I just concentrate on the parts of model building I like.
  8. I believe that Model King requested to re-issue this kit and was told the molds could not be found. There's a link to more pics at the top.
  9. I recently finished up this 1964 Olds F-85 drag car. It's built from a resin body and the interior and chassis from a'63 Tempest kit. The paint and graphics are my own design based on what I thought a fictional Hurst exhibition car might have looked like if they had built one before the "Hairy Olds". There are more pics and all the build details on my site at the link. More pics and a build story.
  10. Wow, that's a piece of history. Nice save.
  11. That is awesome! The details and scratch building work you did are amazing.
  12. Hmmm. Good question. It has a trick dual control shift mechanism. Yea, thats the ticket...
  13. I dig it!!
  14. That is wild. I really like the stuff you've built. Very imaginative.
  15. Converted the Wildcat hardtop kit into a convertible using parts from a MPC '70 Pontiac Bonneville convertible kit. Theres lots more pics and a complete write up of the build on my site at the link. More pics and details
  16. Those kits are one time special run kits for Model King. Round 2 and Revell only make enough decals sheet to fill the kit order so I doubt they would be much help. I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask though. Your best bet might be to buy the kits, snag the decals and then ebay the rest.
  17. That is awesome. The way you blended those 3 cars together is amazing. It's so subtle, that it looks like a factory design. Your execution is right on.
  18. Thank you for the compliment. I've thought about doing decals as a business a couple of times. Trouble is I've already got a good job and I'm not sure I want to turn my hobby into a business. We'll see. Maybe some day.
  19. You nailed it. Awesome detail work!
  20. It's been a few years since it's last re-issue.
  21. I don't know an exact date yet, but judging from past projects with Revell, I'd guess they would be in stores mid next year.
  22. I just finished designing the box art and new decals for an upcoming Model King re-issue of the classic Revell '50 Austin Gasser. The kit should be available in 2010. By the way, I built the black box art model and Tom Miller (AKA bluemoose) built the green one.
  23. Just finished this Pinto. It's a rebuild of a half built old AMT Crazy Horse short wheel base funny car model I won off ebay. I used a Multi-Maverick kit to supply a bunch of the missing parts and designed my own custom decals for it. There are more pics and details of the build at the link. Visit My Website
  24. Very slick! I'd like to have that in my driveway as well.
  25. As a matter of fact, I had seen that photo before. Looks like Chrysler was considering a factory convertible before they imploded. Maybe they will make it once they get on their feet agin.
