  1. I just finished designing the box art and an all new decal sheet for a re-issue of the Johan 1959 Rambler Cross Country Wagon. Look for it in 2012.
  2. Insane!!!!
  3. Ha. You are right! I did spell it wrong. Luckily I spell better when I type.
  4. Those wheels can be found in the Revell '78 Camaro Z-28 3-1 kit. http://www.modelcars.com/revell-1979-camaro-z28.html
  5. Nicely done. The kit looks great built up.
  6. Here's a quick sketch done in photoshop of what the final paint scheme will look like. I sketch out rough ideas like this so I can experiment with color and graphics.
  7. I dig these wide bodied cars too. There are due for a comeback.
  8. I was looking to build something out of the ordinary. I bought this MPC '83 Chevy Cavalier off ebay for super cheap and thought it would make a cool fictional IMSA road racing car. The IMSA style fenders are included in the kit. I'm using tires from an '80s Indys car and BBS wheels from my parts box. I've added a tall rear spoiler from a 1/20th scale Z-28 kit which I cut down to fit. I plan on making my own decals to represent a fictional factory backed Chevy team.
  9. I just finished a re-build of this old AMT short wheelbase funny car. The decals are of my own design. I posted all the build details and more pics on my site at the link. http://homepage.mac.com/ssven5/Sites/Svensworldofwheels/images/gremlin_funnycar_page.html
  10. Here are photos of the real car in '52. The photos show the car (at least to my eyes) racing with the side trim in place and the numbers painted over it. As far as the lower rocker trim, I've seen it appear both with and without the lower rocker trim. I'm assuming that at one point the car started out with the trim and as it got damaged it probably didn't get replaced (but I'm just guessing.) At any rate the body was tooled to be shared with the stock '53 kit so the side trim is left intact. This will make it easy to make a stock '52 by adding the wheels and exhaust from the '53 kit. Plus other driver's cars also ran with the side trim intact, so you may see future releases of this kit under different liveries. As a side note for my build of the Tim Flock kit I removed the molded in fender skirts. The body comes with them molded in place and the instructions will note that to make the body more accurate they should be cut out and the edges sanded smooth.
  11. Here is the new art work and box art build I created for the '52 Tim Flock version of the kit. It will probably follow the '53 Coupe to market by a month or so.
  12. Hot off my bench here are some pics of the model I built for the upcoming Model King / Moebius model kit. I will be posting the final box art as soon as it gets a final blessing from all the parties. This version of the kit has open steel wheels, a race exhaust, vintage lap belts, and specific '52 grill and hood trim. It also has the correct seats and interior side panels for a '52 which are different from the ones included in the '53 kit. Moebius really went the extra mile to get the kit as correct as possible. Dave Van designed the decals which are just photoshopped on right now to meet deadlines. I'll put on real decals after the kit goes into production.
