  1. debating on weither or not to prime the body before the silver base coat and then the deep amethtyst pearl top coat and then clear coat. the body panel lines are not too deep. i dont want to wash them out. Anyone have any ideas? if so please come forward! she is almost ready for primer (maybe) and paint. and do I keep the hood, roof, trunk lid and rear spoiler satin black or just the hood satin black? I am having a hard time deciding. opinions welcome on that as well.
  2. looking cool!
  3. now some pics here i have filed the side of the fog light opening on the pass side. you can see the difference on the driver side. the edge of the opening is too close to the fog light. I need to pick up some googlely eyes foe the fog light lenses. both sides done pics of the wheels and rotors. the wheels will be painted gunmetal. some VIPER floor mats. i cut the floor out of a interior tub of a diecast the went bye bye years ago. sanded them as thin as I could get them. I think they will liven up the interior a lil bit. a side view of her with her new wheels mocked up in place. the suspension/chassis is almost ready to be painted and detailed. Need to make some wheel wells yet and then the wheels can get put on for good. it was a simple suspension but making sure everything was the right height took some careful measuring. and just a cool pic!
  4. Picked up afile set to give the problem areas a lil more body work. I also have scratchbuilt the front knuckels to hold the rotors and wheels! And YES! She will roll! I don't like building models that dont roll! Right now i am waiting on the JB Weld to dry to I can finish the body work. Pics as soon as I can find mt camera cord.

  11. Some sanding of the body is being done. I need to pick up a small round file and do som work on the side openings of the front bumper. The edges are too close to the driving lights.
  12. The dash looks good and is a unexpected mod on this model of a truck! The green wheels are a nice touch as well!
  13. Looking sweet Mike! I think the wheel centers should be Gunmetal! I think it would give this street machine a lil more bite!

  18. Thanks Russ! She has stalled out at the moment, like a few other builds. I have been forced to spend my time working on the side. I have been without a job for 3 weeks now, but I found one and start on Thursday! and at $4 a hour more than my last job! She will be done soon as the Car show I am going to is in 3 weeks and i want to bring her along and put it ii the model show they have! update with some pics soon!

  20. That's a good tip about the frame. I think I have a spare one in my paets stash. So I will have a good "frame" to start with when I pick one up!
  21. That engine is looking good Mike!
  22. I like it. I would have left off the rear window louvers but in all it is a very nice build.
  23. She won't be done this weekend, but maybe this coming week! Still have to hit up the local Hobby Lobby for some embossing powder and a few other lil things to liven her up. I also have to strip the paint from the wheels i am using and paint them gunmetal.
  24. Looks sweet! i like it alot! Still have to pick one of these up for my MOPAR collection! Yours gives me a lil different approach to take with it when I pick one up.
