I was to busy messing around with the new model and watching baseball. I will have to watch this episode the next time it comes on and look closely. I love this show and I am always "watching behind" them as they pick!

I present to everyone my dream car! Atleast one of them! lol! And the Volk TE-37 wheels I scored to put on it! Actually the wheels will go on another one that I have already stripped of paint and have started to modify. This one will get similar treatment! Project log coming soon!

I have frequented Donovan's for years! I love that place! They have a better inventory than Hobby Town and are not as expensive. Next time I am in there i will have to ask.

sometimes you can get lucky and get 1 cheap enough on ebay. I bought mine for $36 and it was never started, but only about 75% complete. No engine/trans, t-case, roll bar, shock absorbers, spare tire 7 carrier, and no wheels and tires. But the leafs and axles are there so I don't have alot of scratchbuilding to do.

I wish the one I just got would have come with those wheel and tires! especially the wheels! I just got a t-case for mine so it should be seeing some bench time soon. Still can't wait to see what you do with this!

As soon as I can find my cord for my camera I will post some pics of how I appled this technique to the inner wheel well of my 71 Revell GTX. was a quick and simple job!

Scored some Aoshima Volk TE37 wheels for my dream car diecast ( which I get to pick up from the Post Office today!)!!!!! pics of the diecast and wheels to come! Anyone have any guesses as to what this diecast is yet?

Thanks for the info Wayne. I know there used to be a club. I would see flyers posted at the local HobbyTown. They used to met in a church basement. But I haven't seen a flyer in years. Local Hobby Town also used to have a area set aside atleast 1 Saturday a month for model builders to bting in their model and work on it with other modelers. But that also stopped years ago. Maybe I will have to ask next time i am there, which isn't too much because they don't have a big supply of models or accessories like they used to. I get most of my stuff from Hobby Lobby.

NICE! I have the same model but in black. I almost did that to mine years ago, but just put it together. No paint. Nothing. just together. Lately i want to scratch build a frame and solid axle swap it on front and raise it to fit some scale 37's. Or maybe do what you did! lol! i don't know! Anyway yours looks sweet!
