  1. Messing around with the decals then realized I only have two tires from the mustang kit so I'm going to see if I can get these NASCAR tires to fit with out any body mods.
  2. Have to top off the paint and let the air compressor cool down a bit. Candy apple red with a black base
  3. Some more progress. More work on the bed Got the fender flares smoothed out Had some left over Nascar parts so I used the firewall and the roll cage pieces to mount the shocks
  4. Hah jokes on them...I'm guessing they wont have much use for sand paper and brushes.
  5. I used some strips of thin evergreen plastic to make some fender flares. I put a generous amount of Tamiya Basic Type Putty to make a chamfered edge. Went to check on it tonight, hoping to and it a bit, and the evergreen strips pretty soft. Once it cuers more will the plastic stiffen back up?
  6. Getting started on the tuck bed and the fender flares. Gotta wait a while for the putty
  7. -Going to have to do a lot of work with the engine compartment. Originally I was going to put a NASCAR chassis under it so I hacked all that out. -Got the exhaust in place...turned out pretty good. -Dose anyone know if these were the tires that came with the Mustang kit? I'm missing two of them
  8. I've been working on this kit, one way or another for the past decade or so. Originally I was going to do a chassis swap with the large scale Cale Yarobrough Thunderbird. I've since given up on that version and thought a Must-chero would be the kind of crazy thing to do. The wheels and side pipes are from the Trans-Am kit and I will be painting it candy apple red....going for that 70s-80s custom/mini truck look. https://www.throttlextreme.com/1966-ford-mustero-ford-mustang-pickup/
  9. Nevermind I'm dumb, I figured it out. I poured all the paint at once then tried thinning it and turned it to Elmer's glue
  10. I'm trying to thin some enamel paint to air brush and it won't mix to save my life. I've been trying to stir it for the past half hour and it just settles at the bottom
  11. I've been chipping away at this turd for the past 7-8 years. The pic towards the bottom is what it looked like when I brought it home, and the black/white pic is kind of what I'm trying for.
  12. I have a pile of parts that have been following me around for the past decade or so. I really don't want to throw anything away if can help it. I was thinking grouping parts by kit, or would I be better off selling the whole lot and let people pick through it? It's not a giant collection by any stretch enough to fill a medium box or two.
  13. ?Not yet...you stalking me LOL
  14. i'm working on filling some big holes on a center console that i'm using in my hot rod, real car. I'm using some plastic from the center console itself but need some advice on what kind of glue and enforcements to make to keep this hole covered up.
  15. I know in real life the 37 Ford frame would fit multiple year cars. Has anyone tried this in model car land with a 37 street rod chassis to any of the other trucks, coupes, sedans etc...?
  16. I have the 1/16 scale 65 Mustang that I was going to use on a different project but that didn't pan out. I saw a pic of a Mustang ute the other day, and found some side exhaust and wheels from the T/A model kit which gave an idea to do a 70s Mustang ute custom. I was wondering if anyone had any pics of some tricked out Mustangs from the 70s-80s?
  17. That's kind of what I had in mind except with a Model A and a Lincoln V-12. That Road Agent kit might just do the trick.
  18. Kind of figure it would be "bloby" ? I could use the Vette or the Prowler, but I was hoping to use something from that era with a rear trans front engine setup
  19. Is there any Tempest model kits out there that have the rear transaxle, or any other cars that a transaxle setup like that?
  20. So this is technically a question about a part that I'm designing at work. I need to put a tube with a 90* bend into another tube that has the same bend at the top kind of like old Flathead headers. I'm trying to figure out how I would make the cuts to the two different tubes.
  21. As long as every thing looks proportional I think I'll be ok. I saw a Volvo Amazon gasser on pintrest and would like to try building it
  22. That might just work, will 1/25 scale parts be to noticeable on a 1/24 scale car.
  23. Is there any model kits of the Volvo Amazon in standard sizes? Not sure what year that car is, I'm thinking early to mid 60s?
  24. fortunately for me we aren't moving to far so I plan on just putting them in boxes and making as many trips as I need. Other than that I'd say loosely wrap them in bubble wrap, use packing between the models and stack them on the top of the heap
