  1. Nice model and nice photos, too! Welcome aboard!
  2. And if you're going for the low-budget "rat rod" look, anything goes. They were built with whatever parts the guys could get their hands on...didn't really matter the source, so just about anything you want to use would be "accurate". As long as it would have been cheap and easy to find.
  3. Geez...they sure make a LOT of airplane models...
  4. Len...you did it! Start uploading!!!
  5. Why not make things alot easier for yourself... go to photobucket.com and create an account (it's free). Upload your photos into a photobucket album or albums - you can create more than one album if you want to, but you don't have to. Photobucket's step-by-step instructions are easy to follow, and photobucket automatically generates a url with image tags for each photo. Once your photos are "parked" in your photobucket album(s), all you have to do to post a picture here is to copy the picture's url from your photobucket album, and paste it here into your post.
  6. Clicking on the link doesn't work...it's a private gallery.
  7. A rarely seen but original factory offered color was a really cool copper. It would look great with a white roof. This is the color: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1957-chevrolet-two-ten.htm
  8. So................are you gonna tell us what it is you're working on?
  9. Doesn't work here...all I see is the dreaded "red X"...
  10. Goofiness? Here???????????
  11. I don't use Fotki (I use photobucket)...so I can't say for sure what the issue is, but check to make sure the url has image tags at the beginning and at the end, like this: [img ] url address here with no spaces in the image tags or between the tags and the url. (I had to add spaces here so it would display as text and not as an "unfound" image...
  12. Good luck. I've never had a problem with photobucket, so it's a mystery to me!
  13. Or if you're trying to bulk upload, you might be over the limit. I think they have a size limit for bulk uploads. Try breaking up the uploading into smaller chunks.
  14. I don't know if this will work, but try logging off photobucket altogether and logging on fresh. Maybe that'll help???
  15. I just uploaded a test pic now...worked fine.
  16. Well, I'm a professional graphic artist/designer (make of that what you will...) So in my "professional" opinion, don't go with tan. It's too similar in tone with gold and the car will wind up looking kind of "blah". You want a color that contrasts with the exterior, but that also complements it. I'd go with either red, black or white. Any of those colors would work great with the gold body. Or if you want to go a little "out of the box", how about a turquoise?
  17. My comments are based on the photos posted. It does have that "70s ski-boat glitter look". The flakes look like they'd scale out to about 1/4 inch apiece! I'm not sure how the flake size could look different in "real life" than in the photo. Maybe it's a function of reflectivity or some weird optical thing, but judging only from the photos posted, it looks badly out of scale. If you say it looks good in real life I guess I'll take your word for it, though. But I'm still sticking with DupliColor. ; )
  18. Have you looked on youtube?
  19. To my eye the metallic is WAY out of scale...it gives the model a "model" look instead of a realistic finish. You'd think that paints designed from the ground up to be used on 1/24-1/25 scale models would have scale accuracy taken into account. Oh well, it should be a big hit with the DONK crowd. Me, I'll stick to my Duplicolor.
  20. I'd be willing to pay a bit more to cover kitmaker's licensing fees...if in return I get an accurate model. Not just the tires, but the molded parts, too! No more incorrect wheels, hoods or grilles, missing emblems, or decals that differ from what's shown on the cover.
  21. Looks like that Road Runner has been "parked" there for many years....
  22. How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
  23. I see there's a new NASCAR section that's been added to the mix. That's cool... But pleeeeeez...don't add a DONK section!
  24. Why are there interstate highways in Hawaii??? ; )
  25. I just got my gas (heating) bill in the mail today. Sigh... Why in the world do I live here???
