  1. No fooling around on this one...it's just as I found it. Pretty cool shot.
  2. I don't know what the original looks like, so I don't know how accurate your photos are...but I took the last one and did a simple contrast/color balance correction in Photoshop...took all of 10 seconds! I don't know if this is any closer to reality or further away!!!
  3. I asked about the color because what I'm seeing is a kind of "ice blue"...not silver. Pretty cool color, but not one I would expect to see on a car from that era. But since RR clients could have whatever they wanted...
  4. That looks great! Nothing wrong with the headlights that I can see...
  5. How about a Nissan Scargo?
  6. Well, you're right...I AM very opinionated! Thanks to Gregg and Jairus for giving me space in the mag this issue. As far as seeing more, you can always check out the "Auto Art" section, which is where I like to show off a little...lots of good stuff there by a lot of talented people. Thanks for the kind words!
  7. Exactly right. GMs full-sized cars from that era were pretty much the same car under the skin, and shared many parts like windshields, doors, etc. What made one car a Pontiac and the other an Olds was mostly how the tinsel was arranged...
  8. That is one SERIOUSLY cool car. Looks like all it needs is a detailing and some air in the tires!
  9. Uh, nice try, Gregg. But Darin's right...EVERY card in the second set is different from the cards in the first set...so OF COURSE your card will be missing from the second set! And now for my next trick...
  10. Nice work, Nick! 8)
  11. oh, yeah, baby! One of the coolest cars OF ALL TIME! 8) Your version looks terrific!
  12. Thanks, Darin. Steal away! Just be sure and post pix when you have them!
  13. Just a crazy idea here, but I'm thinking this would fit in real well in the Model Trucks section...
  14. That means your computer doesn't have the software loaded on it to play the video.
  15. You think that's bad??? Check out these 3 modern "transportation appliances" from Honda, Toyota and Hyundai.
  16. Elgrand? Alphard? Absolute? Hiace? Estima Aeras??? Gotta hand it to the Japanese...nobody comes up with wackier names for cars than they do...
  17. Woo hoo!!! The graphic in the upper left corner has finally been fixed!!!
  18. In 74 the 440 was optional, but could only be had with an automatic.
  19. If you're into small, oddball cars you HAVE to check this place out: http://www.microcarmuseum.com
  20. I get nothing either...
  21. Where's the engine???
  22. Looks cool! I like that color...is that a period RR color or something "custom"? Oh, and you mentioned some issues to work out. Would the "magic bend" in the front straps (that hold the top) be one of those issues???
  23. BTW, Andi...and Jairus, Bob and anyone else following this thread... I'm enjoying the exchange of "art speak" as well! It doesn't get much better than cars and art mixed together! 8) Andi, seeing your work in progress, I'm motivated to post some of my own "traditional" art...stuff I did before Photoshop became my medium of choice.
  24. And that's what makes watercolor so tricky to pull off successfully...but yours is looking terrific! 8)
  25. Here's a perfect example. Note how much more indistinct (lighter, less contrasty) the hills off in the distance are compared to the foreground features.
