  1. When they buried the car they thought that what they had created was a waterproof vault. Ooops. Guess again. Here's the latest: http://kotv.com/e-clips/?id=6717
  2. Are you guys familiar with this story? In Tulsa, OK, a 57 Plymouth was buried in a vault in 1957, as part of a time capsule. It's scheduled to be opened Friday. Some details: http://kotv.com/news/local/story/?id=125292 And what they have found: http://www.kotv.com/news/topstory/?id=129390
  3. Looks great! I like how you depicted the highlights on the body...very nicely done!
  4. How about a nice set of ghost flames??? 8)
  5. You guys are looking at 1320 wayne's stuff... To see Bob Paeth's models you have to click on the "SABA Club members" folder icon, then click on "Bob Paeth"...
  6. I wouldn't get too jacked up about Vista. After using Macs exclusively all my life, I finally bought a PC a few months ago, so now I have both a Mac AND a PC, which came loaded w/Vista. There are a bunch of compatibility issues w/Vista and some very common software, like Adobe Acrobat (Vista does NOT like Acrobat!) It constantly asks you "permission" to do common tasks, and there are all sorts of other quirks. Sheesh...Macs are SO much easier!
  7. You have to search under "Toys and Hobbies"...
  8. Photoshop is fun...you could play with it for weeks and still find new tricks, effects, etc. BTW...thet's a very nice junker! Great weathering.
  9. Nice...right down to the RR logo on the trunklid. Boy. you just can't beat a 50s-60s-70s era MOPAR. Chrysler really had it going on back in the day! 8)
  10. Great tips here, and superb examples of what a nice interior should look like. The guys have pretty much covered all the bases...but I'll just re-emphasize one point: Look carefully at the interior of the real car you're modeling, whether it's the actual car or just photos. Notice how there are many different, subtle variations in gloss levels. Paying close attention to the relative gloss of the door panels vs. the steering wheel vs. the dash, etc., and recreating this effect goes a long way towards making your interior look like a real one rather than just a painted model.
  11. Surf wagon, dude! 8)
  12. Cool project! Those 3D renderings are amazing!
  13. If it's free to use, who's paying to operate it? And why???
  14. Easiest way: Cut a slight notch right behind the front tube, but not all the way through. Then just bend the front tube back and glue into place. Cut the notch shallow, then see what the angle of the fork winds up being. You can always widen the notch, but it takes just a small notch to yield a pretty large change in the fork angle.
  15. Whoa....nice work, Dale. That is spectacular!!! 8)
  16. Like they say...it's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it...
  17. ABS is a different form of "styrene"...regular model styrene (Polystyrene) is softer and more flexible than ABS.
  18. .............................................. .............................................. ............................................. ............................................. ............................................. ...........................
  19. Show us how far a snap kit can be taken! 8)
  20. hmmmmmmmmmm....looks like about 1/8 inch of suspension travel...guess you can only drive it on glass!
  21. You might want to extend the door lines down...or else supply a stepladder to get in and out of it!!!
  22. Nowadays I use Photoshop to "draw" my illustrations, but back in the old days (before PS existed!) I did them the old-fashioned way...airbrushed acrylics on illustration board, with fine details added by hand with a small brush (and plenty of clogged nozzles, paint bleeding under the frisket, running out of a particular color at the worst possible time, etc.) This one is approx. 12x20 and dates from 1993 (way back!!!)...
  23. You seem to have quite a knack for finding porn sites... Do your parents know where you surf???
  24. Don't worry...there are a LOT of trees in the forest! We all have our particular favorites, but there's enough for everyone to have a different one to himself!
  25. That looks cool! I love low-brow art!!!
