  1. Back before this latest, uh... "upgrade," we could see the post number and I could have directed you to a specific post. But now all I can do is to tell you that "fish scales" was mentioned a long time ago on this thread. You really need to start reading the thread before posting a reply...
  2. I started with cars as a kid, but these days I don't limit myself to cars anymore. I like to build scale model vehicles...
  3. Don't forget the mirrors!
  4. Now that sounds like a very pleasant evening. I'm jealous!
  5. I assume this is some sort of very early pre-production body, because I don't see a whole lotta louvers in that hood. Also wondering if the body will include the grille, headlights, and windshield, which are all different than what's in any of the three Pocher Alfa kits.
  6. This was posted in Big Boyz? First time I saw it was right here. Somebody moved it. Hmmmm........

Very slick and clean. I like it... but I would lower the wipers so they aren't in the "parked" position halfway up the windshield!
  8. Um... what? I never said any such thing.
  9. Scale can also mean "climb," as in "We intend to scale Mt. Everest some day." Or if that's too ambitious a goal, you could always "scale" it back to something less ambitious. Crazy language for sure.
  10. Put them on ebay and take what you can get. They'll sell. Somebody out there will want them. And you won't get a bigger group of potential buyers in any other way.
  11. I looked through this thread and didn't find anything... so I have to ask... The water is just incredible! The ship is also, but that water... wow! Unbelievable. Can you post a short explanation covering exactly how you did it? It's just amazing, and I'd love to know how it's done. I see that it's "silicone," but that doesn't tell me how you did it.
  12. Beautifully done. I am impressed.
  13. Wow! Ed, that's a spectacular photo! Very cool.
  14. I think an E-Type Jag would be a spectacular follow-up to their new Aventador. I actually prefer the styling of the coupe over the drop top, but I'd take either one in a heartbeat. Especially if Pocher included their spectacular real wire wheels, like in their "classic" kits I can already see me super-detailing that big beautiful engine. Wow, now that would be a model kit I would totally get into!
  15. Another typical Chuck Most model... and that's a good thing! Everything looks great, but I especially like the wheels. What did you use to detail them? They look very realistic. Black wash, I assume, but anything special? The Detailer? Thinned black paint?
  16. Fish scale? Pipe scale?
  17. Wow! Beautifully done. It could almost pass for the real thing. And great photos, too!
  18. Man oh man, building these doors is tedious! They have to be built stick by stick, each piece individually fitted and cut. It's taking forever, but I finally have the right side doors outer sides almost done...
  19. That model is painted green???
  20. 1784 is a long way from ancient Roman times...
  21. Auto, as in "self"... Mobile, as in "movable." Not many chariots were able to move themselves...
  22. I always thought that police cars had the obvious markings and graphics so that a person would immediately recognize it as a "police car." That was the whole point of the graphics. So now police agencies are going the exact opposite way... using cars with subtle markings, or none at all, in an effort to hide the fact that the car is a "police car." If the new line of thinking in law enforcement is that it's better for cop cars to be unidentifiable to the public, as is obviously the thinking behind unmarked cars, why do they bother with "police car" markings at all? They seem to be contradicting their own line of reasoning.
