  1. WOW! Now that's an impressive kit. Any idea of MSRP? Don't worry... I'm sitting down...
  2. OK, here's something I've wondered about for a while. Seriously. And no disrespect meant at all... I've just wondered about this and would be interested in hearing from you guys who have taken this career path... How does one decide to be a funeral director/mortician? I can see it being a family business and handed down generation to generation... but what I can't wrap my mind around is the concept of a young guy (or girl, I suppose) thinking to themselves, "when I grow up i want to deal with dead bodies!" Enlighten me.
  3. You could be in that power trio in your spare time...
  4. Nicely done Ray. I like the contrast of the blue and the wood colors. But it looks like the door handles and door hinges are "wood?" And the wipers are body color. A fine brush and some Testors Silver will take care of that.
  5. Doesn't work for me. Don't like the narrow nose.
  6. No, Photoshop illustrations aren't allowed in ROM. It has to be an actual photo of either a real car or a model.
  7. The Johan kit of the stock AMX is on ebay right now, along with several promos. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xjohan+1969+AMX.TRS0&_nkw=johan+1969+AMX&_sacat=0
  8. "He had white horses, and ladies by the score... All dressed in satin, and waiting by the door"...
  9. There's a lot of stuff different now that 50 years ago! Welcome back, George.
  10. Steve... I missed the inside mirror, my mistake. Nice model regardless.
  11. Not to be a pest, but exactly how will you weed through all the suggestions? Seriously... you're going to get a ton of different recommendations, with no realistic way to sort through them or use them as useful references. Everyone is going to "recommend" something that they have used, but nobody has used them all. Here's a perfect example... I have used Paasche and Badger airbrushes, so if you asked me for my recommendation, my answer would be either Paasche or Badger. But I have never used a Grex or Iwata. And Grex or Iwata might be better than Paasche or Badger. So how useful would my recommendation be? See what I mean? Good luck!
  12. Very nicely done. Well thought out and very well executed. I have a problem with the out-of-scale metalflake paint (and of course, no mirrors whatsoever... ), but otherwise... very cool.
  13. Get ready for about a bazillion different answers! It's all a matter of personal preference, so you're going to get a ton of different recommendations. It's sort of like asking for people to recommend a good restaurant. Get ready...
  14. Good question! Does anyone know if digital photos are admissible as evidence? Danno? Agent G?
  15. Real. Windshield wipers tell me so.
  16. Nor here... Just keeping it real...
  17. Well now... there's something I never thought I'd see! Nice clean work. Congrats.
  18. Thanks, guys. Yeah, I have to admit those guns turned out looking pretty cool. I'm happy with them. OK... use your imagination and picture the tailgate actually installed on the car... because it isn't yet... Tailgate closed... Tailgate open... And finally... gun case cover open... I'm thinking of adding a few details to fill the open storage spots... maybe a hunting knife or two, a couple of boxes of shotgun shells, etc.
  19. Very nice! I really like the color scheme.
  20. Are you sure? Wasn't the regular size bottle of pop 12 ounces? And I don't remember ever seeing a 32 ounce glass pop bottle. I must have missed that.
  21. It's always nice to find a bonus in the box!
  22. Nice and clean. But I would have gone with gold inserts on those big rear fender side trim spears to match the wheels.
  23. Yeah, I remember 2ยข for a bottle. You needed to collect a lot of bottles to buy a $1.98 model!
  24. Click on the "Share" link, then copy the URL info and paste it here...
  25. Thar's pretty cool. A great memory, no doubt.
