  1. Add up your costs (kit, paint/glue/supplies)... estimate the time spent building, and decide how much you want to charge for your time. Add all that up. That's your estimate of the model's worth. Of course, any potential buyer will have their own opinion of your model's worth, and they will tell you what they're willing to pay.
  2. We have separate NASCAR and Drag sections because that's how Gregg wants it. I don't know why. I think it's a mistake and we should change things. I've posted my preferred changes many times. But ultimately Gregg has to ok any changes... and after all this time he hasn't done so. That tells me he doesn't want to make any changes.
  3. The only things that get moved are the things that are posted in the wrong place. If you read the descriptions for each area, it's pretty easy to figure out what goes where. It's nor rocket science.
  4. Exactly! It couldn't be any simpler. Why do some people not get that?
  5. Hmmm... almost the same color as mine!
  6. Remember, if you know the answer for sure (you know the source of the photo),,, don't say anything here! It ruins the game for everyone else. The answer: REAL!
  7. They are all welcome here.
  8. Deacon Blues is another good one! They have so many good songs it's hard to pick a favorite! "Here at the Western World" is my fave, but then there's "Reelin' in the Years" and "Dirty Work" and "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" and "Pretzel Logic" and "Do It Again" and "My Old School" and on and on...
  9. Let me know when Tesla offers a car at a price an average Anerican can afford and I'll be there with checkbook in hand. I think the current Teslas are fantastic... beautifully designed, great performance, everything you could want in a car. But if nobody can afford it, what good is it?
  10. Nice work overall, but you might want to check the angle of that left front wheel...
  11. I could make this game a whole lot harder... but if nobody can get the answer, what fun is that?
  12. Trucks get equal billing because so many of our members build trucks. Simple as that. I know that technically we are Model Cars Magazine... but we have also featured trucks, bikes, boats... heck, we've even featured a farm tractor or two! And in fact, the April issue of MCM is a special "All Trucks" issue! If you're not interested in model trucks (or dioramas or bikes or farm tractors)... there is a very simple solution. Don't click on those topics...
  13. Just have one thing to say... that's cool!
  14. Count me in as a Steely Dan fan... My second favorite SD song... "Any Major Dude." And my favorite of all...
  15. Thanks for that photo, Paul. I know that my top boot is a bit on the large side... but my main complaint with the kit piece was that is is molded with perfectly straight edges and surfces. I wanted a more realistic softer look, so I made my own. Yes, a bit too big, and if I were to do it over again I would fix that, but oh well...
  16. Are you putting them up for auction? If so, the price anyone is willing to pay will be determined by the buyer. Are you wanting to sell them for a set price (Buy it Now)? Do an ebay search for the same kits and you'll find out what the going rate is.
  17. Is that a Gordon Keeble?
  18. Pretty much all that's left is painting the hood, installing the headlights, and a few minor details... then it's on to "Under Glass!"
  19. Actually the texture of the thread is pretty much invisible when you look at the model with your own eyes... but the camera lens sees all! Anyway... here is the boot installed. The hardware is made of thin brass wire and sheet aluminum, "chrome plated" with Spaz Stix, and the straps are made of painted paper.
  20. Yes, that's John Teresi. How do you ram air into the blower if the butterflies are facing sideways?
  21. Very sharp and clean. I like it!
