  1. I guess that would depend on temp and humidity. My guess... around 15-30 minutes? If you can still smell the Future, it's not quite dry yet.
  2. I wasn't offended at all. Just curious as to why you had a negative opinion of the stuff.
  3. Not too shabby for 90+... http://www.media2.hw-static.com/wp-content/uploads/3551443.jpg
  4. Not specifically, no. I use a 3/4" wide, flat, soft sable brush, and brush one area at a time..,. left front fender, right front fender, left rear fender, right rear fender, left side of body, right side of body, etc. By doing it in sections, I have control over runs and sags. Future is very thin, basically the consistency of water. I have tried airbrushing it, but it tends to run and sag no matter how carefully I airbrush it. Doing it one section at a time by brush gives me ultimate control... any runs or sags, I can use the corner of a paper towel to sop up the excess. It's a slow process, and probably not for everyone... but it works for me, as the photos I have posted prove. Brushing it on vs. airbrushing it gives me control over each section. It's probably not a method most guys would go for, but like I said, it works for me, and the photos are the proof.
  5. A few more, all clear coated with "inferior" Future...
  6. Thanks, Brian! That means a lot.
  7. Crook County... 1,600 square miles, population 5.3 million. About half of which are crooked politicians.
  8. I may be a relic, but I still like to operate based on common sense and facts. And I'm waiting for Rich to explain to me why he thinks Future doesn't work as a clear coat, despite visual evidence to the contrary. I'm not saying he doesn't have a right to his opinion. I'm just asking how he came to his opinion.
  9. Funny, but I base my opinions on facts. And the fact is, Future makes a terrific final finish on a model. Therefore my opinion that it works great as a clear coat is based on that fact. The facts led me to my conclusion. Which is why I am interested as to what led Rich to his opinion.
  10. Yes, of course. But to claim that Future is an "inferior" product and he would never use it that way as a final finish needs an explanation. His opinion had to be based on something. And I just don't see it... so I'm curious as to why he feels that way.
  11. Really? Even after seeing my results? What do you base your opinion on?
  12. Walmart, Pennys, Sears, K-Mart, etc. sell Christmas trees. Do you refuse to shop in all of those stores, too?
  13. The finest political corruption that money can buy.
  14. West Chicago is in DuPage County. I am, unfortunately, in Crook County.
  15. Not at the HL here. And if so... so what? You're going to boycott a store based on the instrumental muzak they play? Seriously?
  16. There is absolutely no "show of religion" at HL. The employees don't wear crucifixes. They don't play religious music on the sound system. Nobody says "Bless you." There is no "Jesus aisle." In fact, they don't sell any religious items at all! It's like any other store, and if you didn't happen to know that the ownership is Christian, you could never tell by what you see in the store. HL carries all sorts of cool stuff, and anyone who refuses to shop there based on some sort of personal "litmus test" is doing themselves a huge disservice. You go to HL to buy the products they carry... not to convert to the religious beliefs of their ownership! And nobody there will try to convert you.
  17. No pool. 2300 sf., 3 BR, 2 baths, two car attached garage. Maybe 1/8 acre. My real estate taxes are TEN times what yours are.
  18. Very nice. Those wheels are the bomb!
  19. Ray... not sure if this is the one you made for me, but in any case... Pocher on a base! And yes, Future clearcoat...
  20. The bases are for the big guys (1/8 scale)...
  21. More models using Future as the clear coat...
