  1. I hear you, man. Funny how the clock runs faster the older you get.
  2. I jut got in (8:30 PM) from shoveling, second time today. Hey, good news! I found my front walk!
  3. I agree. Seems like a no-brainer.
  4. I can't believe I'm as old as I am. Mentally I feel like a kid!
  5. Ten Snowiest Winters in Chicago History 1) 89.7" in 1978-1979 2) 82.3" in 1977-1978 3) 77" in 1969-1970 4) 68.4" in 1966-1967 5) 66.4" in 1951-1952 6) 64.1" in 1917-1918 7) 60.3" in 2007-2008 8) 59.5" in 1903-1904 8) 59.5" in 1964-1965 10) 59.3" in 1981-1982 If this will go down as the 5th snowiest, I guess I've lived through all of the top five.
  6. That poor Superbird has to be the worst of them...
  7. So far (and we're not done yet)... this is the 5th snowiest winter EVER in the Chicago area. So I've now lived through three of the top five. Woo Hoo!
  8. Casey... cool! I had no idea those existed!

I'd bet you are good enough. I love that stuff!
  10. To send you the message that you shouldn't block the mailbox?
  11. That is spectacular! Beautiful work in every way. You can be proud of this one! (but you really need to clean up the red smudges along the upper inside edges of the doors...)
  12. At least it was easy to assemble!
  13. I really like the colors! Very nice.
  14. Nice. Now I would add some sort of company name and/or graphics.
  15. Yeah, it's not exactly attractive! BTW... GM called. They want their '64 Impala grille back!
  16. I read that wire wheels replaced wooden wheels at some point during production... 1915, maybe? Or were wire wheels always available as an option? BYW... Frank, so glad to have another member here who builds cars from this era. I was feeling very lonely until you showed up! I knew I couldn't be the only one who's into these brass-era cars.
  17. To use an overused word... awesome! Very clever method of making the seat cushions. Heck, everything is looking great. I like the fact that you don't pretty up your models like over-restored show cars. How did you do the louvers on the hood sides?
  18. President's Day. Federal holiday... no mail delivery today.
  19. NW suburban Chicago... view out my front door glass, Monday, Feb. 17, 4:17 PM Central. Don't be fooled by the relatively clear driveway across the street... my crazy neighbor (yeah, he's a Packers fan) has been out shoveling during the snowstorm. Check my mailbox there at the curb... it's probably 4 feet off the ground. Then look at the snow... BTW... it's also been thundering today!
  20. It's been snowing all day like you wouldn't believe. Unbelievable amount of snow in just a few hours. And tomorrow is supposed to be 40+ degrees... should be an interesting day tomorrow.
  21. And you were correct!
  22. Too late! I've already started reworking the driver footwell, and will add the spring straps. You're keeping me honest!
  23. Remember, don't post any answers or hints here. PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 1967 DKW Vemag Belcar
