  1. Thanks to forum member Matt Bacon for this one. Remember, don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with specific year, make and model. The answer: 2004 Mitsuoka Nouera
  2. The Bears lost. Again! After the, um... "less than spectacular" season the Sox had, ... I was looking forward to football season. Things started out great, 3-0. Now 3-2 and not looking quite so spectacular anymore.
  3. I'm just going through my list... no politics involved.
  4. I guess you know me all too well!
  5. Beautiful! Aside from the wheels being about 2-3 scale inches too big in diameter, I like everything about it.
  6. I like the scene with the Beetle and the garage.
  7. I haven't seen it, but I do know that Ron Howard is a very talented filmmaker. In my book he's right up there with the best American directors currently working (Coppola, Scorsese, Eastwood, etc.). I have no doubt, even not having seen it, that it's a good movie. Chris, I can sympathize with your viewpoint. For me, it's on-screen violence that I hate. I don't see how anyone can see graphic bloody killings and mutilations and whatnot as being "entertaining," but hey, that's me.
  8. Agreed. I wonder if the screenwriters were getting paid by the word?
  9. I've heard good reviews.
  10. Only one windshield wiper?
  11. Very nice and clean work. Just two problems... I see your model has one of those "magic floating alternators" (or in this case, generator) that is somehow held on place by magic. And the wire front axle really has to go, it's completely unrealistic and totally out of place. But your technique is solid... it's a clean model that looks very well built.
  12. It looks like the car the Green Hornet drove on his days off!
  13. I saw it for the first time the other day on Showtime. I have to say I was sort of disappointed. I mean, I had heard all the hype, all the glowing reviews, etc., but I found the movie incredibly slow and boring. Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field were good, Tommy Lee Jones was good... all the actors did a great job, and the movie looked good... very nice attention to period detail and such... the art director definitely did a great job.. but the pacing was slow and the script just seemed to plod along endlessly. It was all I could do to actually sit through it without flipping the channel.
  14. Opie's all grown up. And Aunt Bee is spinning in her grave...
  15. Amazing work, and even more so in such a small scale.
  16. It would help if he actually asked specifically what it is he wants to know instead of making everyone guess.
  17. What would Aunt Bee say?
  18. This week's car is a 2010 Brilliance BC3, from China. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brilliance_BC3 Who got it right: wisdonm Matthijgrit trogdor MikeMc ChrisR otherunicorn Bdluck 13 W-409
  19. (in my best Curly voice).... Oh, a wise guy!
  20. I watch METV all the time! Loads of good stuff there... Mary Tyler Moore, MASH, Bob Newhart, Dick van Dyke, Perry Mason, The Untouchables, Bonanza, Hogan's Heroes, Batman, Twilight Zone, Bewitched... the list goes on and on and on. BTW... didn't Vic Morrow get his head chopped off by a helicopter blade while filming a scene?
  21. Oh, ok. I didn't realize that was a model of a real car.
