  1. Maybe Fred owned more than one car? You're right... two seater when Fred comes home from work, four seater at the drive-in.
  2. I like it! Very cool. My only complaint would be that you left those vertical posts in place on the doors. Since this is obviously a custom, why would you leave them in place? They need to go.
  3. Glad to see you dumped those gold wheels. Good move.
  4. Thanks, Mike!
  5. Post that in the Trades section, not here. Don't really care what he calls us.
  6. The only MacGyver I ever saw (or liked) was the old SNL "MacGruber" skits with Will Forte and Kristin Wiig.
  7. I won't say not to protect yourself, but when you think about all the chemicals we breathe in or eat on a daily basis, day in and day out, every single day, I mean, if you could see the list of all the chemicals we ingest every day in the normal course of day-to-day existence, well... I'm just saying. But even so, it's better to be overly cautious than not cautious enough, I suppose.
  8. Nice, but it could use some foil trim.
  9. Hey! There's nothing wrong with the Eagles! I'm getting old too... but been a fan of theirs since the 70s.
  10. No entertainment while building. Building is the entertainment. If I want to listen to music or watch TV I'll listen to music or watch TV. If I want to work on a model, I work on a model. If I want to read a book, I read a book. I don't have much use for doing more than one thing at a time.
  11. Very nicely done, and good detail for such a small model.
  12. Maybe so, but easy or not, the end result is just spectacular. Absolutely right and realistic.
  13. How did you do the seat upholstery pattern? Kit decals? It looks really good. You guys need to click on that interior shot and check out the detail of the dash knobs. Unbelievable!
  14. Spectacular! It's a shame that there's no way to see all the work you put into this kit to make it look like it does.
  15. I'm not a fiction reader. I read only non-fiction (when I read at all, which unfortunately is all too rare). The last fiction I read was in high school, because it was an assignment. But I really need to get my act together and read "Atlas Shrugged." I feel like I'm the only guy left on Earth that hasn't read it yet. From what I know of Ayn Rand and her philosophy, I think I would pretty much agree with her views
  16. Dang, man! That's mighty impressive! The weathering is beautiful... I especially like the "rust" on the muffler guards.
  17. Try posting a comment "over there" about Model Cars Magazine and see how long before it disappears. Not all online forums are the same.
  18. I do what Tom does... usually spray it, but if I need fine control or am doing some sort of fine detail on a part that will be only partially dull, I spray a bit into the cap and brush it on.
  19. Is it Bass as in the fish? Or as in a bass guitar?
  20. Sounds like someone took their cynical pills today...
  21. Future (now called "Pledge with Future Shine" for some weird reason) is liquid clear acrylic. It's meant to be applied with a sponge mop to kitchen floors, tile, hardwood floors, etc. to give the floor a protective coating and a gloss. Since it's actually nothing more than clear acrylic, many people use it as a clear coat on their models (it can be airbrushed, or parts like aircraft canopies can be dipped in Future). Because it's acrylic and not enamel, it won't yellow like clear enamels can.
