  1. It's fine. Put it in the Trades section.
  2. Remember, do not post any hints or answers here. PM me with specific year, make and model. The answer: 2010 Brilliance BC3
  3. Yes, PM me.
  4. Yeah, I can see the logic in that argument. But I can also see the logic in the Porsche braintrust sitting around a big conference table and saying, hey, we should maybe try to expand the brand... you know, appeal to a wider consumer base and not artificially limit ourselves to a tiny sliver of the consumer pie by building only sports cars. We could sell a lot more cars if we also offered a 4-door and an SUV alongside our sports car models. There are people out there that would love to own a vehicle with the "Porsche" name but want something other than a sports car. Both are perfectly logical ways to go. Porsche chose to expand the brand.
  5. Why would Ford let a Mustang lookalike be built, period? Like Bill said, there has to be some sort of $$$ deal between Ford and these guys.

  7. How did you do the water? I assume it's resin, but how did you get the detail of the foam and such done?
  8. I know that some people think Glenn Beck is just flat-out wacko. But I have actually listened to what he says (not relied on the media to "tell me" what he says), and while I don't agree with him 100%, I have to admit that he makes a lot of sense in many areas. Yes, in some ways he's shrill and overly dramatic and an alarmist... yet on certain topics he makes just as much sense, if not more, than the other talking heads out there. And that's coming from a guy (me!) who listens to and reads stuff from all sides of the spectrum, not just the stuff that reinforces what I already think. I'm not a big reader, aside from the daily papers. But two of the more interesting books out recently (not the "classics" like "Tale of Two Cities" or something like that) are Killing Lincoln and Killing Kennedy, both by Bill O'Reilly (with research by Martin Dugard). And speaking of books, a fellow forum member just sent me a copy of Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal by Ayn Rand. I'll have to make the time to read it... I know about Ayn Rand and what she believed in, but have never read any of her work. That has to change.
  9. No. My degree is in design (I guess that's sort of an art, but not "art school" art like drawing and painting).
  10. Which ones?
  11. Who wrote the law that Porsche is only allowed to make sports cars?
  12. Yes, I could do that. But I don't. I'm trying to make a point. If I move a topic but leave a link, the original poster might not realize that his topic has been moved. I'm trying to get it through people's heads that they should post their topics where they're supposed to be posted and not wherever they feel like posting it. I get really tired of constantly moving topics every day because the poster was too lazy to bother posting in the correct place, so I move topics to where they're supposed to be and don't leave a link. That way the poster has to look for his topic... and hopefully when he finds it, he'll realize why it was moved to where it was moved.
  13. You gave the convertible boot several coats of Dullcote and it's still shiny???
  14. See what happens when you assume? Cars are just one of my interests, but not the only one. In fact, not even the main one. And I don't watch "car movies." Not that there's anything wrong with that... they just don't interest me, so I had no idea what that car is.
  15. Not everyone. Never saw any Road Warrior movies.
  16. So are you going to tell us what it is?
  17. Thanks! I have a ton of them, many posted previously.
  18. So any 1/1 car with metallic paint out on the street on a sunny day is... incorrect?
  19. Remember the big to-do when a bunch of people were complaining that the "General" section was filled with a bunch of off-topic stuff like "My cat died" and jokes and all sorts of things that had nothing to do with model cars or anything automotive-related? People were getting tired of wading through all the off topic stuff on a forum that was supposed to be about model cars (and full-scale cars/automotive topics, as almost all of us also have an interest in "real" cars)... So we decided to add an "Off Topic" section specifically for all the off-topic stuff... and to keep the "General" area strictly for model and car-related topics only.
  20. In General. General For model car or automotive related topics ONLY.
  21. I don't have the time to send everyone an explanatory note. I have to move topics all the time. If people would take 10 seconds before they post and think about where their topic belongs, 90% of the topic moving would be eliminated. This very topic is the perfect example. It had to be moved because it was posted in the wrong place.
  22. Beautiful!
  23. Exactly. Plus you have better control with manual tools (razor saw, X-acto, etc.) than a Dremel, because the cutting goes slower.
