  1. Aside from all the great tips on finding qualified judges, I like the idea of making a simple rule: All entries must be submitted along with the box and instruction sheet. Or at the very least, the instruction sheet. Yeah, that still won't prove that the person who enters the model is the person who built the model... but at least it would prove that the model was a kit.
  2. The car in the picture is a 1968 Renault Caravelle. At least the photo lists it as a '68. Who got it right: wisdonm Badluck13 Chris R Foxer Lovefordgalaxie Corvair Jim patami sjordan2 Deano blunc maltsr Chillyb1 Thom W-409 matthijgrit mikemodeler
  3. It's a brave new world. Anything you need can be found and bought online. It's all just a google search away.
  4. Yes. Future won't hurt anything, it's just clear acrylic.
  5. A great tutorial! Very nicely done.
  6. The objective being to direct MCM forum members to the "other" magazine? Again... thanks for the "help." Thankfully we don't run this forum the way that "other" magazine runs theirs.
  7. Check Casey's pinned thread about offensive avatars. I figured we shouldn't be asking the forum members to use inoffensive avatars when the mods (me, specifically) have an avatar that could be seen as offensive by some. So I went from dirty Harry to magic Harry!
  8. Suddenly I'm hearing Kate Pierson (B 52's) in my head with slightly different lyrics... rock laaaaaaawn....... rock laaaaaaaaaaaaaawn........
  9. Gee... thanks for the "help."
  10. Darn right! It's worth the $$$ to me.
  11. That "rock lawn" thing is looking pretty good to me. Any day now the lawn guys here are going to start up their season... and the $$$ start flowing out of my wallet and into theirs!
  12. Hey, it's all good. You don't have to mow or water or fertilize rocks!
  13. Hmmmm...... the grass sure is a weird color where you live....
  14. You better tighten up that drive belt...
  15. You'll figure it out. All it takes is a little time playing around, seeing what does what.
  16. I remember that color very well. When I was a little kid, my mom's cousin's son (whatever that makes him to me... second cousin?) had a brand new Impala that was Evening Orchid with a white interior. WOW! That was just about the most beautiful car I had ever seen. All these years later, I still like that color on a mid-'60s Impala, especially with a white interior.
  17. You have to specify which album you want to upload to before you upload, or else they all go by default to "library" or whatever they call it.
  18. Click on "Create New Album" at the upper left. Name the album, then click "Upload" at the top. But remember to specify which album you want to upload to before you upload.
  19. Yes! Exactly! When you create a new album, and you're supposedly "in" that new album (still empty at that point)... you would think that when you click "upload," the upload would by default go to the album you are currently in! But no! You have to select the album before you upload. I learned that the hard way... Seems pretty non-intuitive to have to do that, but whatever. And I also agree that the new way of getting the image code info is clunkier now than it was before they "fixed" things...
  20. Camaro styling peaked with the '70 model, IMO. First gen also nice, but after '70 a long, slow decline to where we are today. Just my opinion, of course... And I'm talking strictly styling, not anything under the skin.
  21. I don't like the new PB all that much, but at least all my photos are still there.
  22. That looks cool!
  23. I had to delete a few posts. There is no selling allowed on the forum.
  24. They all look good, but that '61 Impala..
