  1. What do you think of this one? The answer: REAL!
  2. I know. I was just kidding! But come on... there are about a bazillion cars out there, and all we get are '32 Fords and '57 Chevies? Over and over and over and over again... How about a Hudson? (I know, we're supposed to get one this year... I'll believe it when I see it). How about a Kaiser? A Nash? A '50s Packard, maybe a Caribbean? A Studebaker that ISN'T "Miss Deal." A DeSoto? A Tucker? By now the '57 Chevy guys have been catered to, the '32 Ford guys also. Maybe it's time to "think outside the box" and start issuing some kits of significant American cars that have NEVER been kitted before. There are plenty of possibilities. Too much to ask?
  3. Hey, at least it's not another '32 Ford!!! (Do the model companies get a kickback from Ford and GM every time they bring out another '32 Ford or "57 Chevy? )
  4. Take it easy, guys... As much as I would LOVE to get in on this debate, remember... we're not supposed to discuss politics here. Whenever we do, an argument inevitably results, and this topic is about as controversial as they come.
  5. You can keep your old computer (the hardware part) and just upgrade the operating system (the software part). Windows 7 can be had for around $100.
  6. All I can say is that guy must have a lot of spare time on his hands.
  7. Click on the blue "Share photo" button below the photo. Then click "More Sharing Options" at the very bottom. Then copy the line of gibberish in the window that says "Code for Forums"... and paste that gibberish here... and you get the picture, along with a link back to the Fotki home page... like this: Hosted on Fotki
  8. I found a good photo of a stock '57 chassis...
  9. Nice! I love the old Barracudas, you don't see them in model form very often.
  10. As usual, your work is A+... especially the rusted out lower passenger door, that is about as realistic as it can possibly be.
  11. So..... is it actually magenta... or purple? Looks like two very different colors in those photos...
  12. Very nice, great detail and very clean. Doesn't get much better than that! Just one question, though. Why the mismatched wheels? Not trying to be a wise guy, I just don't know anything about these types of cars.
  13. No plastic kits, but some killer diecasts in large scale. http://www.diecast.org/diecast98/html/asp/list_reviews/xq/ASP/id.AA12531/qx/reviewpix.htm
  14. You know how to draw, that's for sure!
  15. Can only go straight, I guess...
  16. Let's just say that the blue part now matches the white stripes!!!
  17. Same here. Was an illustrator/graphic designer for years, but was forced kicking and screaming into learning the computer. Literally learn the computer or go into another line of work. Now I do ALL my work on the computer. I love Photoshop and Illustrator... I wonder if I can even still draw by hand? I haven't done it that way in a long time! I do all my illustrating with Illustrator and Photoshop. My avatar is an example... drawn completely with Photoshop.
  18. I'll guess that Gregg is the only one who missed out?
  19. I've been making a career lately of telling people to upgrade their 1929 browsers! But they don't want to hear it... they'd rather put the blame somewhere else instead of just using common sense and geting the latest version of whatever browser they're using (or a new one altogether!)
  20. Is that what they mean when they say "drive safe?"
  21. Oh yeah! Factory stock! How many times have we seen cars of that era rodded or ratted or raced? Ho hum... But to see one like that, now that's a nice change of pace. Excellent! All the details and colors are "just right."
  22. I hope you have your emergency survival plan in place...
  23. That Eleanor Smart Car will be featured in the sequel... "Gone in 60 Minutes"...
  24. I understand that... but web browsers are free! And remember... a brand-new computer with the latest and greatest operating system won't necessarily solve any website issues. Accessing websites and having them "work" correctly is a function of your web browser, not your computer's operating system. If it was me, the first thing I'd try is installing a new (or different) browser. Then I'd see if the website behaves differently on my old browser vs. the new one. If that solves your problems, great... and if not, you haven't spent a dime. Just "uninstall" the new browser and you're back exactly where you started from with absolutely no harm done. Or just leave the new browser installed... it won't hurt anything just sitting there.
