  1. On my Mac with Firefox I see the skins fine... even tried them all out. Strange that you're having problems... "Comfy" and "IP Duo" look cool! I like them... nicer colors than the default.
  2. We've been telling you to switch to Firefox because Firefox works! It will solve the problem of this site (and any others) not displaying correctly.
  3. Also finescalemodeler.com. They have a little of everything.
  4. Tried them all... I like the default version best.
  5. Actually the format is very much the same as it was... just the graphics are different. Everything else works pretty much like it always did. A few of the buttons are in slightly different places, but in an hour or two you'll have that all figured out.
  6. Firefox works perfectly. I'm using it right now and have been for over a year. You can't blame Firefox for freezing your computer if you got a virus... the virus caused the problem. You could also try Safari. Or even the latest version of IE (is it version 8?) as a last resort... but personally I stay away from Microsoft software as much as possible.
  7. Don't know how long browsers will be free, but grab it while you can!
  8. Dump IE and go with Firefox. Your problem is caused by IE. Several others here have already dumped IE and gone with Firefox and their problems with the site went away.
  9. Now that looks like a fun project! Hope you have a good magnifier when you get to building that chain!
  10. You don't need a new computer to download a new web browser. And the browser is the software... that's exactly what you need to download–new browser software! Firefox works like a charm, I don't mess with any Microsoft products like IE because they seem to be quirky and strange. Firefox works perfectly, every time. And once you download it, you'll get free, continuous upgrades as Firefox evolves... so once you install Firefox, you'll always be up to date! No new computer needed... what you need is new software! (Firefox). If you're on dial-up, the only problem you may have is that it'll take a little longer to download, but that's not really a problem. Just start the download, go have a cup of coffee or whatever, and check back in a while to see if the download is finished.
  11. If the site isn't working correctly, the problem is your web browser! It's impossible to build a website in several different versions to accomodate all browsers...the browser has to accomodate the web site! Old, out of date browsers can't display the new technology websites correctly... not just this one, but any that use newer code systems. You can either complain about the site (which is NOT where the problem is)... or just get an up-to-date browser installed and solve your problem. Why put up such a fight? Just download a new browser, fer cryin' out loud! It's free, it takes just a few minutes, and it'll solve all your problems here and anywhere else on the web. I recommend Firefox, it works perfectly.
  12. For any of you who are having problems with the site: UPDATE YOUR WEB BROWSER!!! I recommend Firefox, it works great.
  13. It sounds like you're using an old prehistoric web browser that's incompatible with this software. Almost every time a website displays incorrectly, it's not the site... it's the browser you're using to look at the site with. Web browser and website technology are constantly changing... you have to be using the latest browser technology in order to see things correctly. It's like watching an old black and white TV and wondering why you can't see all the colors! It's not the show you're watching... it's your TV! Try downloading and using Firefox. It's free, it works great. Once you try it, you'll be glad you did. Trust me.
  14. I've played around with it a little now, and I like it. Seems like everything works pretty much the way it used to, with very minor changes. There are definitely some nice improvements, especially the "behind the curtain" stuff you guys can't see!
  15. Yes, if you have your preferences set that way. It's in the "My settings" option in the same dropdown menu next to your name in the upper right corner.
  16. November, #145.
  17. Now if every registered member would please mail me just one dollar... one single dollar, that's all...
  18. At the top right corner, by your name. Click on the little triangle and a dropdown menu will appear. Your messenger function is in there.
  19. Gregg is still working out a few bugs. Give him a day or two to get everything worked out. By Monday or Tuesday everything should be running smoothly... check it then.
  20. I think Bob's right... I've been had!!! Apparently the photo they use to sell the model is a photo of the real car! Oh well, I guess I fooled myself this time! So the answer should be REAL. I'll get it straight next time...
  21. Is there any way to change the look, like the old software allowed you to do? The type under our avatars sure is tiny! And hard to read. Also... no "back to top" button? Grumble, grumble...
  22. Final vote: Real 46, Model 13. You guys really blew it big time! It's a MODEL! Next ROM coming Friday!
  23. The universal joints are a little different than what we're used to seeing on a modern car... the ability to flex in any direction is via a thick center rubber disc.
