Do you actually run these things after they're done? Aren't you afraid of damage? What if you jump the slot and flip over a couple of times... all that work gone in a second...

Your favorite song as of today

All the reviews I've read just totally reamed that album... supposedly one of the worst Christmas albums of all time... So if Bobby D. can put out a Christmas album, will we see Tony Bennett do a Hannukah album? -

She looks a lot like Carrie Underwood. -
Apparently I'm missing the joke here...

Oh yeah? You think those are good lyrics? How about this: She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeaaaaaaaaaah... -
I don't get it. Is this the finished model? What's the deal here?

Actualy, Gregg has already asked people to do just that... take up any issues you may have with an aftermarket company with that company directly! But I get the feeling that some people who do just that wind up getting frustrated by a lack of results, and then they need a place to vent... and they pick this place! Yes, it does put us in a spot. And there's no easy answer. We can't take sides, because we don't know all the facts of each particular incident. If we delete any posts that have to do with someone "ranting" about someone else, we get charged with "censorship." If we let threads like this go, we get complaints, too. And I'm sure we'd get a lot of complaints if we decided one particular topic was "banned" from the forum, and all references to it will be deleted. The only way to fairly deal with this is on a case by case, post by post basis, and try to decide in each case whether the thread should be allowed to continue or not. -

Yeah, but ban who? The guys posting the rants? Or RR? Another tough call. Banning someone should be a last resort, not the first line of defense. BTW, it would be nice if you put your real name in there. It's kind of a rule here, as you well know. -
November Issue of Model Cars Magazine
Harry P. replied to mikemodeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah, I know. I can honestly say that I'm doing all I can to keep things moving, but the thing is that there are a lot of people involved with each issue. I don't want to name names or point fingers, because that's not fair... there are things going on behind the scenes that you guys don't know about (or wouldn't care about)... but there are various reasons why some stuff comes in late. The bottom line is, the magazine can only be put together once ALL the various pieces have been submitted. If I'm waiting for even just one last feature, the whole magazine has to wait, cuz it can't go to press until I have all the pages laid out. Yes, obviously we're late again. I know... excuses, excuses. The magazine should come out on time. But it is what it is. Nobody's more frustrated by it than me. All I can say is that November is being printed/shipped now. -

It's a tough call... do I let you guys rant on (including some possibly unfair rants-I have no way of knowing if they're legit or not)... or do I keep things from spinning out of control (like it did last time) and close the thread? Without knowing the facts in each particular case, I have no way of knowing who's telling the truth, the guy posting the rant or RR's response/excuse/alibi/what have you. Like I said, a tough call. Maybe you could let us know how you would handle it? If you have a better idea, I'm listening. -

Apparently Harvard Medical School isn't one of the sponsors of this car... -
What was Tiger's wife doing out at 2:30 in the morning? She was out clubbing! This is the first time that one of Tiger's drives went for less than 300 yards! Tiger admitted this crash was the closest shave he's ever had. When Gillette heard that, they dropped his contract.

With all the bad publicity and angry customers this outfit has, how is it that he still keeps on getting new orders? I guess not everyone has heard yet... -

"For one, I'm not worried about not getting anything I order from him and will buy from him again." That was the good news part. I did say good news... sort of. Hey, considering RR's reputation, any time that someone mentions RR and it's not a total slam, it could be considered "good news"... -
All of Tiger's ex-mistresses have decided to get together and collaborate on a tell-all book. According to sources, the book will be called "Our Lives with Tiger: A Black-Thai Affair." Thank you ladies and germs...

Just to keep things timely... The police asked Tiger's wife how many times she hit him. "I can't remember," Elin said, "just put me down for a 5." ba-da-boom! There is a new set of golf clubs on the market called "Elins." The manufacturer guarantees that you can beat Tiger Woods when you use them. ba-da-boom!! Tiger crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldn't decide between an iron and a wood. ba-da-boom!!! Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole-in-one, too. ba-da-BOOM!!!!
