Finished the oxygen bottle rack. Got the skirts on and frenched the liscence plate and cut out for the taillight. The front of the skirts will be rolled to match the contour of the cab after I make and install the fenders. -

I started with a rectangle and then trimmed the basic shape and then a lot of filling. -

Brought this one back once again. I started to build the welding bed. Here is a look at where I'm at. -

all I used to make the bed and welder are sheet plastic. You can get it at your local hobby shop. If you go back in the thread you can see the bed in progress. It's built pretty much like a real one would be. I have another rig in the works and when I build the welder for that one I will resin cast it so that I can have one whenever I need one. -
I ended up finding decals for the gauges so I glued them in and then applied epoxy over them to simulate glass. I also got the wheel offset done and got them painted. I could help but do a quick mockup.

I just finished my model A roadster so I thought I would bring this one back and maybe finish it...maybe. Was able to get the dash detail done.

Got back on this one. I'm trying to finish it for a show next weekend. Engine is done. I had to strip the chassis cuz I wasn't happy with it. Hope to have it painted in the next couple of days.

that is very good to know. Unfortunately I don't have one of those kits in my stash but will have to find one for later. Is this the one you are talking about?

The bare bones interior has been bugging me on this build. It just wasn't working for this style of build so I decided to take the highboy side panels and combine them with the bare structure panels to give the interior a more traditional feel. I also took the seat from the 29 channeled version and modified it slightly to fit with the new side panels. I'm also not the biggest fan of electric fans on traditional hot rods so I found a fan in my parts box that would work. I cut the center section of the radiator out that had the electric fan in it and added a piece from a parts box radiator in its place.

Just about done with the engine but can't decide on air cleaners. What do you guys think? Or any other suggestions.

Thanks. I ended up using two hoods. I cut one down the center and pulled it apart in the front. I then took a small part of the front of the other hood and added it on. I still need to mess with the character line though.

I started building this along side my 29 roadster. It's the channeled version with the 32 grille. I want to use a 32 hood but it is too short to reach the grille. I think I can move the grille back enough to reach the hood but the bottom character line of the hood still doesn't line up with the one on the body. I think I can cut some of the bottom off and raise it up. What do you guys think?

Looks good!... but the carbs on the driver side are on backwards.

it's just black craft wire. I bought a pack that had all different colors.

Finally getting back to building after taking four months off. I'm building the highboy version with the deck lid cut out and replaced with the louvered one from the 32 5 window kit. I also redid the coil overs to make them more realistic. Paint is Detriot diesel alpine green.

Revell '30 Model A coupe w/inline 6 - final update 7/24
zaina replied to Jantrix's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looks like a good start. Can't wait to pick one up myself. Since you are going to use the model a grille, I don't suppose you would be willing to get rid of the 32 grille and shell? -
