  1. I’ve started many moebius kits but this will be the first one finished. My plan is to build a truck from the day that the company I work for would have used. Here is where I’m at
  2. Which chassis did you use?

Very nice!!! Which kit is this? Revell or AMT?
  4. This build is too cool. Gives me some great ideas. Can’t wait to see it finished

Well after giving me fits and having to be put away a couple of times I decided to hammer away at this one and finish it. Based on a sedan that belongs to a guy I know. I’ve included a pic of the real one too.
  6. Looks nice! Where did you get the wheels and tires?

Finally have paint. Need to finish it by the 31st for a show.
  8. Looks good. I don’t think the hood problem was your fault. I had the same trouble. I ended up filing off some material to make it work properly.

Thanks. Here is the link. https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=mexican+blanket the best part about it was that I didn’t even have to change the size of the image.

Thanks. It will be all white except the dash. I will paint it the same turquoise as the wheels.

So I had an idea. I taped a Kleenex to a piece of paper and printed off a pattern that I found online. The Kleenex is very brittle and double thick so I only used the top layer and stuck it to a piece of masking tape. I then used double sided scotch tape to apply it to the seat and then trimmed the excess. It isn’t perfect but I think it will work.

Pulled this one back out. Hope to finish it soon. Engine and chassis done. Working on interior. Scratch built Mexican blankets. Here she is as of now.
  15. Ok, so after the paint didn’t turn out two times in a row I finally figured out that it was the primers fault. The candy was too hot for it. So, with that being said, here is the finished bike.
  16. Not a whole lot to show yet. I did make new landing gear and wrapped the wheels with 3/64 rod to make them fit the tires better. My plan is to put this behind a western star day cab.
  17. Started about 4 years ago. Finally finished it!!!

Ok, back at it. I’ve been dragging this one out for 4 years now. It’s time to finish it. With a little luck I hope to have it finished within the week. Here is a pick of how it sits.
  19. Fresh off the bench!! Probably the quickest build I have ever done. Started on it about 6 days ago and only worked on it in the evenings after the wife and kids went to bed. Color is Chrysler ceramic blue with urethane clear. 100% box stock. Kinda hard for me to do but I needed something to enter in the box stock class at an upcoming show.
  20. Ok. Got it stripped and a new silver base laid down. This time I am using solvent based paint for everything. Also finished the making exhaust and wrapped the pipes.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. Just wish revell would reissue this one soon.

I did attach the top first and filled the seam. For the roof panel I just stuck a piece of black duct to the kit insert.
