When l did this roof swap l used the back edge of a #11 exacto blade & scored almost all the way through, following the windshield chrome line to the wing window. then cut the wing window through to that cut with the sharp edge. l also used the sharp edge to cut through the C pillar/back window. & yes, a dremel will melt more than cut which wouldn't be good on a cut like this. Some might cut the entire windshield off, which would work as well, but l wanted the option of making a boxtop OR a convertible out of the '61. l'm assuming the back glass from the '61 can be used to cut the new deck lid configuration, but l seem to have misplaced mine.
