  1. This is one slick looking Ford!
  2. l like what l'm seeing! Love the lonroofs, especially panels. Nice job so far. Bart.
  3. Ok! That works well too!
  4. ......Hahaha!!! Me too! Did you use the back glass from the '61 to locate the new deck lid cut? Bart.
  5. When l did this roof swap l used the back edge of a #11 exacto blade & scored almost all the way through, following the windshield chrome line to the wing window. then cut the wing window through to that cut with the sharp edge. l also used the sharp edge to cut through the C pillar/back window. & yes, a dremel will melt more than cut which wouldn't be good on a cut like this. Some might cut the entire windshield off, which would work as well, but l wanted the option of making a boxtop OR a convertible out of the '61. l'm assuming the back glass from the '61 can be used to cut the new deck lid configuration, but l seem to have misplaced mine. Bart.
  6. l can't get to the list for some reason? l LOVE the '63 Riviera. My list wouldn't get out of the '60s. '61 lmpala? '63-'65 Nova? '67-'68 Firebird? '66 Chevelle? '61 Olds 88? '67 Vette (can't remember when the "shark gills" started. '66?). '65-'69 Corvair? Ok, that's more than 5, but these, in some order, would be on my list.
  7. "Ford: The man, The machine." Should be rquired reading for every car buff & gearhead. BTW, Ford is my 3rd favorite brand. lf l owned a copy, l'd be reading it again!
  8. Dude! Still lookin' So sweet. Love the hood treatment. Please keep it going. Bart.
  9. .....Very true. l have the exact same project in progress. Unfortunately l can't find the glass from my '60 kit to cut & re-scribe the deck lid!! This has been a pretty straight forward roof swap with just a little sanding/reshaping. Yours is looking very good so far. Are you planning on also making a '61 boxtop? lt's much more work to add on to the deck lid of the '61, but l plan on trying. Watching with interest! Bart.
  10. ......About 60 miles east. Closest hobby store l know of......Hobby Lobby.
  11. l really like what you've got so far. Hope it makes it to the finish line. Bart.
  12. l used Chrome tech once. The only flaws (not many) were due to my 1st time prep work. Turn around took a while as he only "dips" on the 10th of every month. He lost one piece which he left up to me to replace. Luckily, Revell did replace it. lt was a fairly flat piece which l was able to use BMF for. l wish l would have thought of that 1st. l now use BMF for any parts l can. l have yet to try The Little Motor Kar co. but plan to soon, just to make a comparison. l have heard they're a little less expensive. Bart.
  13. Very cool, Jim. You sure were up! That's how we did 'em back in the old days! l like it all. Color & interior combo, high boy stance. & of course the Hemi!! You train that dog to attack SHINY?
  14. Welcome! Can't wait to see this one. l'm a huge Mopar fan & your user name is my favorite movie! A big plus: '40 Fords are one of my all-time faves! Bart.
  15. l've always liked these cars & you did it justice. Love it in white. You have a very beautiful model here! Bart.
  16. Outstanding workmanship! Beautiful use of Alclad. Very inspirational build. lt's models like this that make a lot of us strive to improve our skills. Thank you! Bart.
  17. Still liking what l see!
  18. l have the same build (minus the Mustang engine) coming up soon. l will watch with interest to see what you do with this. The '61 has always been one of my favorite Fords.
  19. VERY nice looking model!! For me, the attraction of these cars is the 2-door sedan look. Yours looks nice without the B-pillar, but l would have to leave it in. That said, you have a beautiful racecar here!!!! Bart.
  20. lf you wanna get rid of that Johan '64 Dodge, l'd be glad to give it a happy home!!!!!
  21. Perfectionism (l hate isms) & a lovely wife & 2 great girls that think l hung the moon & stars!
  22. Well of course l have use for them.........No B.O.P.s in my stash, but l got so many different kinds a slapsticks, kinda gotta put it in something Groovy!!!! Bart.
  23. Sorry l missed you , Mark. Way down in South Central Texas, we been trying to "Dodge" the rain. Still slingin' paint when l can(!! Bart.
  24. .......That's great discipline right there! l get ideas & then mock something up. Put the parts in the appropriate boxes & shelve them. Then l get the pirated box down & wonder where the parts went! l'm trying to stick by my guns & not start anything new til l get a few finished. l think l'm over 20 started now if you count the mock-ups & part switching. Plus some people keep sending me parts that change my plans!! BIG lol!! Please don't stop!! Bart
  25. That's funny & cute enough for me!
