  1. Try making your own out of small guage wire insulation. Good luck!

Lots of possibilities with this kit. Seemed to beg for scratch building. This kit ruined me from leaving anything box stock ever again. Not sure if that is good or bad. Next you'll find yourself needing Evergreen and plasi-struct styrene stock, aluminum tubing and rod, miter box/saw, many different glues, tools of all kinds, lighting, magnifers, and many other gadgets that work for you. The list can go on and on. Geezo, see what I mean about good or bad? I'm no expert but I think you may be "hooked on model cars". I love model cars/hooked on model cars!
  3. I'm still working way too hard on paint jobs only to achieve a meedieocre finish. I'm gonna have to get that DVD someday.
  4. Great imagination. Would look right at home at nostalgia drag races.

Try cleaning up some longer pieces of sprue. Trim and smooth nubs to create longer pieces if needed. Free. Build looks good. That supplied engine does look a bit too small.
  7. I'll give your build top honors. #1. There, now you got some Jack. Enjoy

Nice job so far. Ain't this fun? With floor removed cage can be custom built to cover all the cut lines at rear and sides to tidy things up if necessary.
  9. Nice space for hobby room. Big enough to work, yet small enough that it can't get too out of control with messed -up or there won't be room for you in there. Putting it all together is alot of the fun. Where is that fan?
  10. Nice car show! Shiney seems to be a rule there. Thanks for the pictures.
  11. A little imagination, and a bit of time and it should turn out real nice. Have fun and be safe
  12. That is just over the top. Waaaay cooool!

If you remove floor from interior tub it will expose actual floor pan. Looks real good with bare bones interior for drag version. Good luck and have fun.
  14. Depends on paint and detail.
  15. Yes Edward, I am the newest member of the Kansas City Slammers Model Car Club in NKC. And Jim, yes I am using airbrush. i
  16. Today is the first I've seen of your post. Don't know how I could have missed it. So much time spent looking at posts and missed it I don't understand. We are neighbors, I live in Merriam, KS. I am kinda like you with pray and spray. Yost video would answer all questions and then some I've been told. But then where is the novelty. I really should get his video. Smooth and shiney paint jobs are the goal I'm working on now. I can make it happen, but there has to be an easier way. The Old Man is offering his tips and I refuse to listen. Maybe I should listen more, paint less, and get better results.
  17. Beatnick Bandit Plus!
  18. I have had the same problem with it. Happened on inner floor so no real big problem. Will not try it again on anything I like too well
  19. Great all over it!
  20. Welcome! Ain't this fun? It really is. All kinds of great information around here. I've been back into modeling for about a year now after sereral long absences away from it. Can't seem to get enough of this stuff these days. There are worse things I could be doing with my time. Putting together a work bench is a big part of the fun. (Bench seems to be a continued work in progress) At least our tools don't have to come from the Snap-On man. Have fun, be safe
  21. Liam, what is with the built kit?
  22. Church sign reads: Sign broken, message inside. Same church: Free admission Sundays 10:00
  23. Hi Earle, My latest project is painted with Krylon red. I'm not too proud of the finish. Orange peel. Just can not get it to lay down smooth. Hopefully enough coats to allow wet sanding to smooth out. No more Krylon.
  24. Wow! Play nice kids. This is a fun place. Model car hobby doesn't seem to be as popular as it once did. We are the ones that seem to love it, lets keep us alive and well. Modeling may be the highlight of some of our lives. Not sure if that is good or bad, but it is what it is. If I can behave my self online, anyone should be able to. Lets just have good, clean, safe fun. Lesson for today: Do not use teeth to remove stuck cap on super glue
  25. I've been watching your build on this fuelie. Looks good. Two tone inside and outside plus BMF adds up to a lot of work huh! No quick build here. Keep at it. Easy touch ups.
