  1. These are all great! Where can I get a set of those stock hubcaps that are pictured under repstocks beautiful '74?
  2. Yes, that is the color of the plastic. Believe it or not, I use a 15 year old bottle of Formula 113 wax/sealant. Made by a company in Lakeland, FL. Still in business. I bought cases of this stuff back then when I had my car lot. Used to use it on everything. Incredible on kits and promos. Restores old diecast finishes as well. I still have a couple a bottles left. I'd like to try the ultra-restore, but I'm willing to bet is similar to the product I am using. I've tried everything, 1:1 cars and scale, and the Formula 113 has worked the best for me. Chrome, glass, rubber, plastic, all types of paints, in the sun, you name it.
  3. Woah, that's awesome! Looks like something I would have driven in my teens. I see lots of parking lot burnouts with that beast!
  4. Gorgeous!!! Someone should do this with a real one. Had several of these B bodies in this style.........they were a really great car, and in my opinion, not bad lookers either.
  5. Wild! Awesome work! How about a real '70s style with fattie Cragars?
  6. Just got these two done........detailed promos. '88 Silverado, interior two tone grey, stock Brandywine metallic on body, added silver two tone, made my own white walls out of the stock promo tires. Blaze yellow '75 Dart Sport, did roof in white with chrome foil seperation for vinyl top, stock full wheel covers from Missing Link (awesome stuff), old white walls from the parts bin, black and white interior. (Missing a steering wheel, if anyone has an extra!) https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/g5zOfYPs6O_Z4xnYsyRRWhFFQUDO75sxhwt7HiORupk?feat=directlink https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/VifF0WWSLU6zRu6G26XXBBFFQUDO75sxhwt7HiORupk?feat=directlink https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/DOSCai_bClKqikwR2gPpRhFFQUDO75sxhwt7HiORupk?feat=directlink
  7. Wow.........engine compartment looks good considering what you have to work with. Nice.
  8. real gone 58...............anyways, I did'nt monkey with the engine. It was such a poorly detailed piece of an excuse for a mill, I glued the hood shut! Did you attempt the engine in yours?
  9. Neat color. Here's a link to mine I just got done. Dark blue, grey top, grey and blue interior. Two different pics below. https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink
  10. I just did one. No where near as nice as the built one referred to above. That's rediculous! I give that man a ton of credit for his patience with that one! Best way to do one of these is to assemble the 11 body parts together first, mocked up on the chassis. It's the only way to fit everything right, make sure everything is plumb, and filled. It came out ok for what it is. Here's a couple of pics. https://picasaweb.google.com/113970275234479884863/48LincolnKitBuilt?authkey=Gv1sRgCJmZ6JHUzODRCw#5699421628215974338
  11. I would say the holy grail is the Normatt early '70's Winnebago. It's actually a large plastic kit. I've been trying to get one for a few years now. Every time they come up on the Bay, they go for crazy money.
  12. Ok, I'll give it a shot..........Thanks guys.
  13. Looking for a good glue debonder. Every type I see is for super glue. Will it work with old model glue? Have some glue bombs that I need to take apart and I don't want to break them. Any suggestions? Lot's of times I pass on buying old builts with full fender skirts because I figure I'll bust the quarter panels off trying to remove them. I think once glue hits about 30 years old, it turns into a fossil.
  14. 72Coronet is right about the California Cruiser Volare. It used the roof that came in the kit, without the opera windows. Ugly as hell. Great job replicating the Premiere landau roof! You've got me wanting to do one of these too! I am a Volare/Aspen fan, and also a fan of green. Love the color choice! Can't wait to see it done.
  15. That's wild. Cleanest build of this kit I've ever seen!
  16. Love F8 Green! Looks great with the wheels/tires.
  17. Beautiful! Love the color choice and engine detail.
  18. What a bomb! I've had this kit for over 20 years, and for some reason decided to screw with it now. Did it as a curbside because the engine compartment has no detail at all. Used a set of parts bin wide whites with old '50s custom wheel covers that look pretty correct for '48 Lincoln. Had to glue the 3 thousand piece body together first, mocked up on the chassis to make everything line up right. Still need a steering wheel for it as the one with the kit was way too small. Well, it's almost done, will never be perfect, but it is what it is. Only way you can get a '48 Lincoln.
  19. I emailed a month ago or so, and he shot me a reply right away answering my questions. I plan to purchase the Maverick 4 door he does.
  20. Us Moparites need some good stock full wheel covers. Like for Aspen/Volare, Duster, etc.
  21. Ok, that did it..........you guys just got me to go buy a couple of Deora kits. Awesome! Hey Gseeds, I dig that wild groovy fogged out flower power Chevelle wagon in the background! Very cool.
  22. Yes, I have the '62 Dodge 4 door hardtop. Modelhaus does the '70 and R & R does a '68 Satellite 4 door. The resin '67 is a C-body Fury, just like the Johan '68 kit. Since revell did the '62 in a 4 door hardtop, I figured I'd build my '64 in a 4 door sedan. Surprised no one has done some of these yet........they were popular police cars and taxi cabs. Mine will be all stock, slant six, in an "old lady" color, with dogdishes and white walls.
  23. I know you can get wagons, but I don't see any 4 door sedans or hardtops. The roofline is the same on Linberg 64 Dodge 330 2 door post as on 4 door sedans and hardtops. I'm going to try to do a 4 door sedan out of the Lindberg kit. Anybody done this before?
