  1. Gonna be sharp.
  2. Nice color. looks good.
  3. I agree, interesting.
  4. Can't find a photo but there was a kit to convert a Z car into a Cobra. I think it was called the Tomahawk.
  5. Very slick !
  6. Welcome back to the hobby and good luck with your build.
  7. Great detail.
  8. This kit will be my next wip. It is not going to be built stock. Plans call for it to be lowered and have some custom modifications to the cab and interior. The stock wheels and tires are being replaced with some 1/18 th. ones from GMP meant for their die-cast can am cars. I know there is a door fit issue and also fidgety door hinges so the doors may be glued in if I encounter a problem with them. I can see what I want it to look like in my minds eye but weither I can pull it off or not remains to be seen.
  9. Thanks guys. It's not really a very good kit but doesn't look too bad in the display case as long as something else is in front of it. : )
  10. Very nice clean build. The interior looks very sharp .
  11. Who makes a B-17 that size ? What's the cost ? I think I would have to do that one in my garage !
  12. Nice ! Back when cars had style.
  13. Very nice !
  14. Nice car, nice display.
  15. They are both very nice but I prefer the Torino cuz I am a Ford guy as well.
  16. Very nice, looks good.
  17. Don't recall that soft sunroof. Was that afternarket or factory ?
  18. My father bought me my first one and helped me assemble it. That was at a time when there wasn't any such thing as video games. Heck, I think there was only 5 channels on the tv and you had to get your butt up to change it. Anyway, I got hooked on how you could take a bunch of pieces and put something together that looked like a car. Not much of a selection back then so I built cars, planes, boats, tanks. I have been "hooked" on models ever since although there have been times when I gave it up but the urge always returns.
  19. This was a simple little kit. Not a whole bunch of parts. Since it was at one time a motorized kit the detail is not all that great. I think the body was well done but the kit really left a lot to be desired. I think the wheels look to small. Instead of building it with all the race decals I went with a simple one color and no decals. It was painted metallic black and clear coated. Painted the center of the wheels with clear yellow to give them a gold look.
  20. This little bugger is done. Photos will be in the "Under Glass" section soon if interested.
  21. Very nice build.
  22. Car looks very nice. Don't feel bad about messing up a decal. I would bet most if not all the guys here have messed up a decal at one time. I know I have. : )
  23. I like the color too.
