  1. No photos but what I used to do is cut a rectangle with more plastic forward of the wheelwell. I would then trim a slice off the front of the peice I removed. This would allow the panel to slide forward. I would then use some of the piece I cut off to fill the void in the back void. Next would be some trimming and also some putty. Depending on body lines this can be a easy or difficult operation to pull off. I am sure there are other ways and someone with a better idea will come along soon. There then is the modifing of the interior and you will need to shorten the chassis and the drive shaft.
  2. I have enough trouble with a kit that has 130 parts. I would be a year easy trying to build a 3,000 parts kit. Better make that 2 years. : )
  3. Looking good !
  4. Those are really nice. Not sure I could tackle one of those babys.
  5. Mine didn't actually get away as I traded it in. It was a brand new 1978 Mustang King Cobra. I managed to get one of the first about 5,000 ever made. Although not a very high performance car even with the 302 back then it was a very cool car and I didn't see myself coming and going. I regret that I ever gave it up for trade on a 1980 Corvette. The Corvette was not that much of a performer either being one of the California versions with the 305 engine.
  6. Thanks Ken. Sounds like the very thing I need. Maybe there can be a few more years of building out of this old man.
  7. Man that T-Bird looks great ! It looks like it has 10 coats of paint and clear on it.
  8. Nice Stang !
  9. That will keep you busy for a good long while. You going to build it and share some photos with us ?
  10. Thanks Larry. I have decided it is past time to get myself a setup with a hands free light and magnifier . I really had trouble the other day when trying to get the sparkplug boot on the plug wire. I know that is why I don't do it as much as I used to. I think sometimes I should just build the larger scale models but I prefer 1/25. As you get older it can be tough to admit you can't do some of the things you used to be able to do.
  11. Nice projects Bryan. You have so many unfinished kits it's not hard to understand why you can't decide what to finish ! I am looking forward to seeing something done. : )
  12. Thanks guys. I try to always make my next one better but after building for over 50 years I think I have leveled out. I may be getting a little better I don't know but at the age of 61 I am running out of road and my eyes make doing somethings like more detailing is getting rougher and tougher. I don't want to stop because I do like to build and it relaxes me. 10 more months of working and I will have all the time to build I want to build as I am retiring then. I just hope I am still able to do so.
  13. Beautiful job. Love the paint.
  14. Very nice save. Looks great.
  15. Looks like you did a fantastic on that build.
  16. Looks real nice Mike. You don't see one of them too often. Great job !
  17. Very nice Bryan but what about the Cobra ?
  18. Very nice work on that bed. This will be a cool build.
  19. Thank you John. I know I will never build to your quality but as long as it's fun I guess that's good enough.
  20. Made a little progress. The chassis is almost done but still needs some more detail and finish work. I am going to need to modify the headers because they were meant to fit the engine when using the full body. You can also see where I plan to cut the Fiat body to be mounted on the dragster frame. I think it will fit pretty good. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
  21. There is some pretty cool stuff here.
  22. Coming along nicely.
