  1. Your builds are always so crisp and clean looking.
  2. I probably miss the food the most. The pizza, Browns Fried Chicken, Roast beef and roast beef and sausage sandwiches, hot dogs. ( sorry, I put ketchup on mine ) White Castles at 2 am, some great fish and chip places. True you can get some of this stuff elsewhere but I myself never had any better than what I had back there.
  3. This build just keeps on getting better and better.
  4. Thank you. I have a sister that lives in Surprise. Nice town.
  5. For me, if I don't feel like building I don't build. I am not the best builder to begin with and I found a long time ago that if I am not "into' the building process and build anyway I just don't do my best work. After one of the 2 model magazines arrive in the mail I usually get a spark to get back to the bench and also stopping by here and seeing all the great work that is being done can also light a fire and get me going.
  6. Cool project Bryan. Good luck finishing this one my friend.

    32' High Boy

    Very clean build. Perfect !
  8. Very cool. Looking forward to the day it is in the Under Glass section.
  9. It looks nice but it's dirty. : ) Good job !
  10. Looks great !
  11. Very nice job Stuart. She is looking good !
  12. I remember buying my kits at a store called Zayers. The models that listed for 1.50 were sole there for 1.11. I recall when I finished my models I would put them on a shelf. Sometime when my dad got mad at me he would come in my room and slam the first couple of models on the floor. I soon started keeping my good ones towards the far side of the shelf and the crappy ones and repaired ones closer so he would grab them. He was a good but stange man. Normally within a couple of hours he would be driving me to the store to get me another kit. And no, I never made him mad on purpose in case it was a belt day and not a break a model day. Rest in peace pops.
  13. Thanks. I will try and get some full side view photos. I must admit that with this body I think in hindsight I should have cut about an inch out of the frame.
  14. New hood does look better.
  15. Wow ! Riverview ! Theres a blast from the past. I was born in Chicago and went to Riverview several times as a child. The one ride that scared me was called the 'Wild Mouse" if I remember correctly. That ride had a overhang in front and I swore it would never make the sharp turns. Moved to a suburb called "Oak Lawn ". It was a nice place to live. Then moved to California and then Arizona. Sure had much better food in Illinois.
  16. They are all nice but I like the Vega the best.
  17. That model is coming along very nicely.
  18. Thank you guys. That means a lot to me. Now on to the Mustang Gasser !!
  19. Where did those tires come from ?
  20. I started some work on it ( no photos ) but it appears it will not be a easy as I first thought. You all know how it is when you mix kits that were not designed to go together. You change one thing and that makes you have to change two others. It will get done it just won't be the easy project I thought it would be.
  21. The new roll bar does look better. Reminds me of the one you would see on a Cobra. I am sure you are not flush mounting the roll bar but instead will be drilling holes in the body for the bars to go through. Am I correct ?
