I think you may be a bit too hard on yourself. I think the car looks very good. As for the door gap............ just show it open and nobody will ever know. I like it !

Car is just about finished. It is painted and decaled but still needs a couple of things fixed and clear coated and polished. Thanks for looking.

Don't know if this will help you or pertain to a car type of body but I built a vac u form airplane once and instead of cutting I was told to just cut close to the body and then sand on a flat surface with a good piece of sandpaper right to the edge. it worked good but as I said I am not sure it would work in this case. Good luck !

Hey Bryan. I may have an idea for you if you can not locate your trunk lid. If you or someone you know can make you one from resin I would be willing to loan you one from one of my unbuilt kits. I would just need it back so my kit would be complete. Let me know if you need to borrow one. Then you would only have to worry about matching the paint.
