  1. Freddy gotta cool board. Did you mark your Dullcoat spray can top with a "D" ? I do the same thing with those cans.
  2. I have used it but didn't like it that much. It was shiny but seemed to be thicker than the normal BMF.
  3. Side wings, wheel pants, whats not to love ?
  4. Looks good, nice job !
  5. Very nice.
  6. I like it too. I love those old Mercs.
  7. How many mods are there ?
  8. Those wheels look beautiful. Very realistic. This will be a build to follow for sure.
  9. Very nice job ! Looks great !
  10. Ditto, I see nothing !
  11. Nice repair. Can't wait to see this one finished.
  12. Very nice work !
  13. That is looking very cool . I love stuff that is not the same old, same old.
  14. After finishing the yellow 49 Merc I really wanted to build another. This one will go in a little different direction with more customizing. As the photos show I am filling in the fender holes for the headlights. They are going to be relocated to the grill area. I cut off the tops of a couple of Sharpies to fill the holes and puttied them up. I am also filling in and relocating the tail lights. I have filled the holes for the wipers and also drilled a couple of holes and have put plastic tube in the holes which will be cut down and smoothed and will be twin sunken antenna's. Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome.
  15. Thanks guys. It's the Revell kit. As for paint, it's Testors rattle can enamel bright yellow up top and Testors one shot flamming orange lacquer on the bottom. Interior which is hard to photograph through the small windows is yellow and white with gray flocking on the floor.
  16. Finally finished the Merc. Came out OK I think. I see some things I could have done better. I will be starting another and address those shortcomings. Sorry for crappy photos. As always comments pro or con are welcome.
  17. Car is done ! if interested you can view in the Under Glass section.

Very cool. I would like to have a real one like that but maybe with a chopped top.
  19. Worked some more on this build but had forgotten one thing. I had read here some place that the frame and engine would not fit due to the size of the battery. It needs to be cut down in order for the engine to fit in the engine bay. Sure enough it is true. Had to cut the battery down which is really not a big deal I just wish I would have done it before painting. I will remember on my next one. Have to wonder why Revell missed this condition. I guess if were a six it would not have been a problem. Still, it's a pretty nice kit.
