My wife bought me this as one of my Christmas gifts . I don’t get it now but was able to look it over . No instructions are included and the photo sheet says as much . All that is included by way of instructions is a few color photos of a completed model . Has anyone here built one of these and can shed any light on assembly directions ?
As Bill mentioned the most used are Balsa and basswood. I have used both quite a bit in dioramas and I prefer the Basswood. You can get a much better, smoother finish. The Balsa may be a bit easier to work with but I think you will be happier with the Basswood. I used Balsa for fence posts and larger pieces to carve tree stumps because Balsa can have a rougher , weather worn look.
Thanks guys. I agree with the tires being too small. I got that set of Pegasus tires and wheels for this project and stuck them on the chassis and did not realize how small they really were until I dropped the body on.
I can understand some not liking it and it's ok. We are all different and we like what we like. If thought to be something that should not be posted and in bad taste I am fine with it being removed.
Last Saturday a girl was putting gas into her car and her arm somehow caught on fire. She was running around the lot swinging her arm when a police car arrived. The officer quickly got out of his car and shot the girl. When asked why he shot the girl he replied " She was waving a firearm !".. Sorry
I retired about 5 years ago at 62. I figured the difference in my payments wasn't really worth waiting and hoping I would live that long. As far as modeling goes............ more time, less money.
Trouble after trouble . Tried to so something different with paint and it was a fail . Could not strip due to putty . Truthfully I just wanted it done . Not the outcome I was wanting and was not going to bother to post but what the heck . Good for a laugh if nothing else . You have my permission to laugh . Not that you need it .
