  1. You guys have proven what I already knew. Great bunch of guys here. I thank you all.
  2. Many thanks.
  3. Many thanks.
  4. All good ideas but I'm getting sick of working on this thing.
  5. Not sure about red Gene, it's got a blue frame. Not sure how that would look. Actually I have not decided on a color.
  6. I think your right but I am past the point of no return. : )
  7. I was born in Chicago so I will be interested in watching this one.
  8. The one I saw on the bay was 60 dollars. I got mine on Amazon for 36 with free shipping. Came from Japan and took 7 weeks . Longer wait but a much better price !
  9. Thank you all so very much.
  10. I'm going to finish it but truthfully I am not digging it. Different than what I saw in my minds eye. Maybe with paint on it I will like it more.
  11. Add me to the people who like the look.
  12. Harry, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this. All I can say is stay strong and try to keep a positive outlook. This can be beat. You have many friends here for you if you need to share even if hundreds of miles away. Thanks for sharing as that in itself can sometimes help. Prayers are with you .
  13. Thank you all so much. This is a great forum. I don't really know any of you but I feel like you are friends. Thanks again.
  14. A little more work done. More still needs to be done as you can see.
  15. Ok the rods will stay on. Perhaps now that I know I can see a show on Youtube I will take a peek. Here are some pics of the kit parts.
  16. Thanks you very much guys. I'm doing a little building and messing around on the computer to keep my mind off things. Doesn't work too well.
  17. I have two sisters both older than me. The older of the 2 was 71. About 2 years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought that and won and she was cancer free. About 3 months ago she found the cancer had returned. She was doing the chemo treatments but about 3 weeks ago became very ill. She was admitted to the hospital where they discovered she had brain cancer. She was in the hospital for a little less than 2 weeks before we were told she had about 10 days to live and they could do no more for her. My BIL opted to have her come home and do the home hospice thing. For the last almost week and a half of her life we could not communicate with her and she was not eating or drinking. She passed away peacefully yesterday about 1 in the afternoon. Her name was Carole and I will miss her.
  18. I guess I have been lucky. I have shipped several models without damage. For 1/25 and 1/24 scale I use a USPS priorty box that is sometimes called the shoe box. First i put some peanuts in and then the model double wrapped withe bubble wrap. Then more shipping peanuts around the model and on the end. I always ship priority because I figure the quicker it gets where it's going the better off it is. I have shipped 8 models in the last 3 weeks with no report of damage.
  19. I think it would look better without those rods coming out the back. Since it is a fantasy vehicle I may omit them when I do the build.
  20. Oh boy ! The paint begins. Looking good.
  21. You know much more about this thing than me. The box does show 3 different paint treatments. Looks like red, OD and silver.
  22. Another great pic. Keep them coming !
