Finished this up this morning. I must admit I enjoyed building and painting this thing. Something different, very different. I hope my daughter will like it. I think I may even do another one of the set of 5 I bought. Who knew ? : ) Pics to follow.... photobucket is down right now.

Building this "thing" for my daughter who lives in San Diego and has started to learn how to surf. It's just a little joke gift. Not going to all the trouble of putting up the seams but just smooth them as much as possible. The base is painted black only as an under color. Some material to resemble sand will be applied to the base at some point.

Got this pretty cheap off of ebay. Thought it would be a nice simple "between" project. I will not use the stickers except most likely for the head and tail lights.

Man do I remember that. I was living back there then. One of our cars were out in the drive beside the house and the snow drifted so bad all I could see of the car was a couple of inches of the antenna ! Long gravel driveway. Two days to dig out ! That was a day to remember.

Can we see some pics after the paint goes on Bill ? What pleased me is when we went to get our rental car at Enterprise I told the guy we were going to Vegas for our 30 th. anniversary and we got an upgrade and a full tank of gas but he marked it half so we only have to return it half full. Free upgrade and a free half a tank of gas. Not to shabby !

Possibly one of the best Cobra builds I have seen. Keep it going !

I like to see these old kits built.

Years ago when I was much younger I had shelving in my room with about 12 tanks. Most were 10 or 5 gallon. I had a 20 gallon community tank in the living room. You want to talk about loud pumps ? I had two piston style pumps doing the tanks in my bedroom. They were pretty noisy I can tell you.
