Great build, What kit is this or is it a custom job?
-
Very cool, Nice job on the engine and detailing.
-
I like that style camaro, good build.
-
having some problems updating my photobucket to update my thread but it is not cooperating today, ill try again later.
-
Chassis is mocked up, needs a few details and some touch ups but is coming together, pics up tomorrow. I am going to have paint on the body and interior tomorrow night and start detailing and assembling this and hopefully have it done in a week or so.

Modlbldr i seen that car on google images months ago and that is what sparked me to build this, but i was going to do it red/ white. I more or less prefer a stockish appearance over custom smoothed out roll panned look any day on most vehicles.
-
Today i finished the rear suspension, will post pics later. Tonight i will start on the interior and then the motor, i have to change the exhaust out cuz stock will not work no more which is fine with me,ill probably straight pipe it.
-
I was originally going to put roll pans on front and rear with some hot rod tail lights and headlights but decided against it. Going to keep this mostly stock on the outside and interior. Now i just have to figure out what to do for the rear suspension and get the chassis done and painted.

I seen yours LURCH426, i like it. I am painting mine a similar red from duplic-color it is called Dark Cherry Metalic. I am going to do some red, silver, aluminum, flat black and satin black for the interior if i don't paint the roof white, if i do i will throw some white into the interior instead of black but have yet to decide. I am also going to wire the engine and run some lines for the airbags in the front since i had to remover inner fender to get it to sit so low. I cannot wait for it to be finished.

This thing is really good inspiration, i might convert a few old car bodys into custom pickups.

Nice build, I always like 32's built this way. -
Here is a mock up of ride height. Everything fits and lines up properly, interior, chassis, body, suspension and drive train (front tires are in loose in pic and wont have so much camber). I am not opening the hood just to finish this build and move onto the next really soon, maybe finish my 50 Chevy pickup.

Today i managed to get the front suspension mostly done, will get the rear done tomorrow. I might have this thing painted and finished by sunday if everything goes smooth like it is. I am going to paint it a dark cherry red from dupli-color over a light or dark grey or a red primer base and hopefully it looks good. Here is a few update pics, this is the final ride height for the front, rear is as low as i can go but not finished yet. Camera is not the best and i not sure how to use the settings yet.

nice build, im thinking of getting this kit soon.

I really want to slam this thing on the ground and bag it with pump and tank just like my 1950 chevy pickup, i will also open the trunk and have pump and tank in there. Thats kinda where it will sit except just a tad higher as i want to put lake pipes on the side, it will have the same tires and rims but painted white walls as the tires have nice grove in them i can do it with a brush. I have seen a lowrider starliner at a local car show that looked really cool i might even change and go that route who knows?
-
i have a few years worth of model kits that were wrecked when i moved so i have lots of parts and a pretty huge parts box collection but not much as far as white walls and especially no wide whites.
-
So i decided i am going to slam this thing as low as i can, i think it will look really good with white walls on it when it is slamed. Pics up later. How would i go about painting the tires white without having to wait months for it to dry?
-
I have been working on this for a while now, it is a 1960 ford starliner with a few custom touches. I lowered the front by flipping the spindles, i shaved the top trim off the body and the door handles, still not sure which direction to go. Here is some pics of it mocked up, frame is finished ill have pics of that later.

that shifter is really cool, nice build.
