  1. Here´s the body. I shaved the chrometrim that runs from the upper parts of the front fenders, along the the side.
  2. There were som gaps to fill between the floor pan, drivshaft tunnel and firewall. If you follow the instructions you should mount the firewall to the body first, but I mounted it (the firewall) to the chassis first instead, I think it resulted in a better fit.
  3. This is the first US car I´ve built in 15 years, so it was about time. As you can see it´s the `67 Dodge Charger from Revell. It will be built mostly OOB, with just a few additions like ignition wires and a roll cage. It will be a dragracer, but I don´t intend to use all the decals in the kit.
  4. Very nice build! Nice details and allround great quality.
  5. Like CadillacPat says, the 155 Anthem is a really good airbrush. It´s easy to clean and maintain and it will cover all aspects in painting a model car (in my opinion). It´s a very userfriendly airbrush. The service from Badger is really good and Ken Schlotfeldt (the President of Badger Airbrush) is a very serviceminded person. I´m not saying anything negative over other brands, but in my opinion you can´t go wrong with a Badger.
  6. Nice Torinos
  7. I´m not sure but I believe Mike´s Decals will sell a complete decal set with the white pinstripes. Ok, you will end up with decals that you don´t really need but maybe it´s worth it? Don´t know when it will be available, march/april maybe? Seems to be a kit that goes together pretty well.
  8. @MAGNUM4342 - The text says "before the car was restored" and it does indeed look like "not restored". Anyway, like others in this thread I guess Petty was one of the teams to use braided lines early on. What I´ve also seen in photos are lines that are textile/nylon braided, not metal braided.
  9. Nice finish! I guess it was this clearcoat you used? http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=48_76&products_id=3667#.URCzkKV2Tts
  10. Cool. Is that a Revell model?
  11. Gotta love this one, Dr. Cranky. I know you´ve mentioned it, but - those tires...great
  12. Moi! Very, very nice! The engine looks great.
  13. Neat & sweet.
  14. What a great Rod! There´s so many things to like about this new kit. Well done
  15. Found these pictures on Randy Ayers forum http://www.randyayersmodeling.com/modelingforum/viewtopic.php?t=75807&start=150 Scroll down a bit, there´s a comment with pictures from "Rocketman"
  16. Looks just as good as your `57 150 Chevy. Very nice!
  17. That´s a really good looking model! Nice, clean build.
  18. Sweet
  19. Great model! I like the vintage F/C´s and this is a really nice & clean build.
  20. Really nice build! The color is perfect for a ´66 Nova. Just great!
  21. Great pics, Futurabat Thanks! I guess some teams used braided lines and some did not. It was probably a continuous development and some teams were earlier on than others. @martinfan5 - I know that homepage, but thanks anyway
  22. Lots of nice MoPars on that website, Vernon . Here´s another website with a restored 69´ Dodge Daytona: http://www.canepacollection.com/detail-1969-dodge-charger-daytona-used-5111490.html If you scroll down you will see the engine bay - no braided lines. Let me know what you find, Vernon. Thanks/Stefan
  23. Hi, I´m wondering if NASCARs from the 70´s used metal braided lines (fuel, oil etc.)? I found these pictures; http://www.hodgerestorations.com/Race%20Car%20Restoration.html I realize it´s a restoration i.e. it may not be 100% historical correct, but judging from this picture: http://www.hodgerestorations.com/current/14%20Race%20Car/100%2084.JPG it seems that at least some lines were plain rubber ones. Any help is appreciated. /Stefan
