  1. Seeing as how this build is looking rather like a cross between the Interceptor and the Bat car, have some pics:
  2. Lambo power plant? Long time since I've had one of those! Looks promising.
  3. So many hours, so little change! The Equestrian avengers now have their first weapon. and the Nameless one has sort of taken on a Mad Max look. Organizing those wheels was hard. Bits and pieces from all over the place. I hate those modern flashy wheels with low profile tires. Now it has some genuine 60's rims. Yes, I bought a 64 Fairlane for its rims. I had a lot of these rims back when they were orange and burgandy.
  4. Hehe. I recognize that gun!
  5. This one's been stripped back to the fiberglass. http://www.corvettespecialties.com/Dick63Con.html This may be showing some sort of undercoat inside the panels, or their resin is a different color:
  6. Zombie hunting tools. 1:18, but close enough! http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/Detail?no=363
  7. Make sure you do NOT rust the body! I made that mistake once. Vette's are fiberglass!
  8. I don't think you can be a brony without being aware of the newer show! I have the episodes, and am also quite familiar with the internet fanbase. It even has a post apocalyptic story based on the Fallout games (Fallout Equestria - google it), and yes, there are zombie ponies in it.
  9. No offense taken. I would qualify as a Brony, even if I am a little old for the demographic at 48! I've been a little pony nut for decades, and by that I mean real live miniature ponies. The interest in the plastic/cartoon variety stemmed from that.
  10. I've done more on the nameless black Dodge, (or should that be Nameless, the black Dodge?) And more on the Equestrian Zombie Hunter.
  11. The Dodge so far. Pretty much assembled as per the instructions... apart from the chopping and filing needed to make the crappy thing fit together. There was simply too much height of plastic in the front assembly for it to fit together. I had to file and shave a lot off. I really miss my old parts box.....
  12. Turbo four from a Revell Mustang. Seriously though, I haven't seen a trace of what I sold (in Melbourne) and as I'm getting back into this hobby now, I keep recognizing kits that I had, and I am amazed at how many of them there were. This is just a fraction of them - and are the only photos I can find from when I sold them. I got $222 for just the parts box stuff alone. Now I have a pitiful collection of a few left over bits from someone else's builds. Not enough stuff to even build a car.
  13. Perhaps Cousins twice removed. The new breed are a different species.
  14. I'm going to break the mold again.... This is a zombie hunter build, in "Fallout: Equestria" style Don't know what Fallout: Equestria is? Then Google it!
  15. Okay... This is a genuine parts box build. (read what's at the bottom too) But with context to this build, I am probably cheating. See if you can spot the clues!
  16. One of these days, I'm going to see the parts I sold about 10 years ago, when I got out of the hobby reappearing in models!
  17. Clearly you haven't experienced steam oil and coal dust!
  18. Current progress. I'm nearly done with it.
  19. Post aChopalyptica is more or less done in these photos. Mud/dust has already been added since they were taken. I need to paint a couple of door hinge mounts inside, and maybe add some lights. Interestingly, so far there is not a single gun on or in this car. May do some rusting, and the tires may need some matt varnish. (This build is staying with me in Australia.)
  20. I can never get their web site to work. I wish they would get it coded properly.
  21. I used the same hood on my Max Falcon too... even though my "Falcon" is really a Camaro.
  22. A lot of these are blurry simply because the camera is too close to the model, so simply pulling back a little would bring it into focus. As you say, bright light always helps - bright light = smaller aperture = better depth of field, thus better focus tolerance. A tripod will give stability in low light conditions, preventing blur. And then you have the smart asses like me with cameras that can focus on things actually touching the lens!
  23. According to the info in one of the posts up above, Mad Max 4 is set in the time between MM1 and MM2, so that would make it pre-apocalypse for at least part of the film. Mine is looking more like it belongs in MM3. Mine is looking more like it belongs in MM3 all the time.
  24. I had the exact same thing happen with the spring on my build. Instead I used a vertical piece of sprue with a bit of rubber on it (O rings or similar) to simulate air-bag suspension. In fact, I had the problem on my second build too - a faulty molding in that case. I glued a small piece of sprue onto the chassis and filed it into shape.
