  1. Another reason the lonestar sells so well in Australia is its used as a base kit for the Auslowe T904/8/9 Kenworth. Ben G.
  2. I don't know many aftermarket companies who 100% master parts and don't at least have a bit of stuff in their range that started life as say and amt ertl part (camel back mack suspensions comes to mind). Aftermarket engine kits as well. I agree. There would be big interest in the USA/Canada for a pete 379, but it would sell fairly well in Australia in Europe. I really would like a Mack, but I'm content at the moment to play with the Prostar till the K200 Kenworth comes out next year. The Europeans on the Facebook pages seem to model australian trucks a lot as well so time will tell about the K200 and drake low loader being good sellers. By the looks of the auslowe Facebook page a lot of people (me included) have preordered. Ben G.
  3. Wow. What great news. Would love to see the 1/32 scale trucks make a reappearance and Mack trucks as well. Ben
  4. It can't hurt. Definitely check that article though. It's in newsagents in Australia so should be in your news agents. Cheers Ben
  5. I plan to get another one. I've got the decals as well but decided not to use them. I've bitten off more than I can chew with this project. I've been using the photo etch and that's been great. I usually build trucks. Car models are crazy. There is a really good article in the tamiya model magazine regarding the construction of the LaFerrari. I would have loved to have read that before starting this project. Will be saving to get another one on the go once I finish this one and get my Mack muster stuff done. Cheers Ben
  6. Hi Fellas. Small update. I am stripping the primer from the body panels and re doing them with etch primer. It's a bit flakey. Heres my bit of progress. I'm surprised no one on this forum has finished a tamiya version. Cheers. Ben
  7. That I've built and or seen in person: Moebius prostar and lonestar Tamiya porsche carrera gt Amt ertl mack dm600 and dm800 Ben
  8. I'm a Mack man, but that is beautiful. Ben
  9. I reckon DRLs are great idea. Especially when driving toward the sun in the morning or evening. My car come with led DRLs and they don't blind people. Cheers Ben
  10. Wow. I think everyone needs to chill out. Ill continue to buy Moebius products if the subject they make interest me. I don't think I've ever seen a perfect model because it doesn't exist. I'm really hanging out to see what they will come up with next for class 8 truck fans. Cheers. Ben
  11. KFS from the UK also has some chain binders etc. Ben
  12. I'm surprised no one has had a go at this. Ben
  13. I reckon current trucks would be more financially viable. I agree the aftermarket has a lot of older stuff sorted. Cheers. Ben
  14. Cheers Dave for the clarification. Having built 2 Lonestars, one out of the box, one as a base for an Auslowe Kenworth T904 conversion and currently building a Prostar, Moebius needs to keep going down the heavy truck path. I'm certain if you get a modern KW, Peterbilt, Mack or Freightliner out, (I'm a Mack man and I think a KW or Peterbilt would sell the most) it will sell like hotcakes. Drake Trailers Australia is doing the K200 KW and a Drake trailer. Heaps have been pre ordered. I look foreward to the future. Ben
  15. Hi Fellas. Just a small update. Great kit. Trying real hard to get the body work right. Cheers. Ben
  16. Well done! I've got a Tamiya LaFerrari on the go. Ben
  17. Looks pretty good to me. Ben
  18. I currently have 4 amt Mack R685st trucks. Love that truck. Only built one when I was a kid. That one is scraped now though. Ben
  19. I ordered my 2 off eBay. Plenty of them on there. Ben
  20. Check out auslowe on Facebook. They have a rhd dash for the Australians and the sleeper and sunvisor for the California hauler. Ben
  21. Nice work. Good to see more Aussies on here. Ben
  22. Cheers for sharing. Ben
