  1. This is a really nice kit! You'll enjoy it........ Just be sure to test fit the engine bay a lot, it's in four pieces!
  2. I really appreciate the nice comments, guys! I wish my photography was a little better, though..........
  3. When you get your MRI done, Harry, you may have to see if they have a machine that you can stand in, that's what they used on Dad when he blew out his shoulder. He's a big guy too, and the table machine was too small for him to fit into........... You guys bemoan the Pocher kits for lack of detail so much, They almost don't seem worth the price, but this kit seems to outshine those with the kit supplied details and may be more for the money! Awesome work, Harry...........
  4. Thanks a bunch, Guys.........!
  5. Thanks, Fellas!
  6. Finally finished this one........ Nice kit, but I probably didn't do it justice.. The front bumper has been fixed, didn't notice it sagging until I took the pics....... Hope you enjoy! and feel free to comment.........
  7. That's some real nice calligraphy Nie......... You have beautiful penmanship!
  8. Thanks, guys for the kind comments.......! Yea, I thought that it would look better to foil along the roof instead of having a big swath of chrome down the side and nothing else done.....
  9. Well, I did it. One of the fender cut-outs came unglued, but it's too late to worry about it now....... I guess the next pics will be under glass. All that's left is the chrome to the body...... Thanks everyone for following along!
  10. Thanks, Carl........ I'm having some trouble getting the body to fit down over the interior/chassis assembly... Had some glue joints come loose, hopefully I can get it put together......
  11. Thanks for showing interest in this one, guys! Working on the foil now and will show a pic as soon as it's done........ (.......... did I just say Dales Bug Dead?...........)
  12. The Baldwin Motion '70 Chevelle from Revell has an LS-6 engine........
  13. Still working on this one! Finally had a decent day to paint and clear..... It's DupliColor Dark Shadow Gray with their clear............
  14. If this wasn't such a cool forum, people wouldn't rack up so many posts chatting..........!
  15. It's the Revellogram '37 Ford Coupe.............. The "GoodGuys" and the "California Wheels" versions both come with two sets of wheels, the Cragars in the last pic and a set of modern 5-spoke wheels............ Probably my favorite kit!
  16. Glad you guys are enjoying the pics! This kit actually comes with an IRS, Mustang II front suspension, and a tuned-port small block.......... It would make a good basis to build the type of car you are describing.....
  17. Yep! Those are probably my favorites, too............
  18. Wheel Mock Ups....! Simply for your enjoyment.......... I'll be buying this kit again soon, and was anxious to see some wheels on it that I had in the stash............
  19. Hey, friend.... The Impala body has a lot of creases and raised character lines which will make it hard to sand without burning through. Sometimes when I need to wet sand something like that I will use Comet and a tooth brush. Use the scratchless Comet as it's less abrasive than the regular kind. Then after washing the body you can clear it.......... Hope this helps..
  20. You beat me to mentioning using actual film to tint with........ the only drawback to it is the "glass" has to be flat or have a single curve in it. No compound curves, unless you are handy with a heat gun...........
  21. Very cool truck, Friend! Sweptlines are tough trucks......... There is a company called Scarebird.com that makes disc brake conversion kits for these trucks, if you wanted to go that route.......
  22. Hey, Harry.... been watching your progress on this one, Amazing! Do they make resin rivets in this scale? you could lay them a string at a time and not have to do them individually
  23. You just have to learn how to read Harry, man........ If he makes a comment at all, he is showing an interest whether the comment be positive or negative. We are here to learn to build better and he's trying to make us do just that..............
  24. I was asking about 1:1 wheels, friend....... Your story reminds me of an incident that happened when I was a kid. Someone was trying to steal the rims off of my old man's Satellite he had at the time. The car fell off the jack, making enough noise to wake Dad....... He runs outside wearing only a shot-gun. He was able to scare off the thief, and kept his rims! I guess he was lucky that time............... They were Raiders, BTW......
  25. I'm barely old enough to remember the Keystone Raider wheels. The Klassics are still being made, I believe. I was once told there was an argument that Cragars were the better rim, or that Keystones were better. This is the classic Cragar design............ Here is a pic of a Raider....... I'm just curious as to which rim you guys prefer..... They are very similar in design, so what caused the disagreement as to which was better?
