Going Overboard With Progress
JollySipper replied to American 185 Heavy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I like to show the progress I make on my builds here, because the friends and family I have don't really understand what goes into doing a good job on a model. The guys here get it, and can appreciate time into something.......... Plus posts are what keep this forum active, interesting, and most important, entertaining.......... -
Thanks, fellas........ and Happy Birthday, Bruce!
-
This turned out really sharp.....!
-
Thank You, Carl....... !

Every once in a while I get across the top of the screen "Your Account Has Been Validated"....... Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! I'm never logged in when it happens, I guess it's just a site quirk?
-
I've always loved an A-Bone Hiboy, this is gonna be really nice when you finish!
-
Thank you guys! The body is Dark Shadow Gray metallic from DupliColor............
-
This is a really nice kit! You'll enjoy it........ Just be sure to test fit the engine bay a lot, it's in four pieces!
-
I really appreciate the nice comments, guys! I wish my photography was a little better, though..........

1924 Fiat Mefistofele
JollySipper replied to Harry P.'s topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
When you get your MRI done, Harry, you may have to see if they have a machine that you can stand in, that's what they used on Dad when he blew out his shoulder. He's a big guy too, and the table machine was too small for him to fit into........... You guys bemoan the Pocher kits for lack of detail so much, They almost don't seem worth the price, but this kit seems to outshine those with the kit supplied details and may be more for the money! Awesome work, Harry........... -
Thanks a bunch, Guys.........!
-
Thanks, Fellas!
-
Finally finished this one........ Nice kit, but I probably didn't do it justice.. The front bumper has been fixed, didn't notice it sagging until I took the pics....... Hope you enjoy! and feel free to comment.........

What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)
JollySipper replied to LOBBS's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
That's some real nice calligraphy Nie......... You have beautiful penmanship! -
Thanks, guys for the kind comments.......! Yea, I thought that it would look better to foil along the roof instead of having a big swath of chrome down the side and nothing else done.....
-
Well, I did it. One of the fender cut-outs came unglued, but it's too late to worry about it now....... I guess the next pics will be under glass. All that's left is the chrome to the body...... Thanks everyone for following along!
-
Thanks, Carl........ I'm having some trouble getting the body to fit down over the interior/chassis assembly... Had some glue joints come loose, hopefully I can get it put together......
-
Thanks for showing interest in this one, guys! Working on the foil now and will show a pic as soon as it's done........ (.......... did I just say Dales Bug Dead?...........)

The Baldwin Motion '70 Chevelle from Revell has an LS-6 engine........ -
Still working on this one! Finally had a decent day to paint and clear..... It's DupliColor Dark Shadow Gray with their clear............
-
If this wasn't such a cool forum, people wouldn't rack up so many posts chatting..........!
-
It's the Revellogram '37 Ford Coupe.............. The "GoodGuys" and the "California Wheels" versions both come with two sets of wheels, the Cragars in the last pic and a set of modern 5-spoke wheels............ Probably my favorite kit!
-
Glad you guys are enjoying the pics! This kit actually comes with an IRS, Mustang II front suspension, and a tuned-port small block.......... It would make a good basis to build the type of car you are describing.....
-
Yep! Those are probably my favorites, too............
-
Wheel Mock Ups....! Simply for your enjoyment.......... I'll be buying this kit again soon, and was anxious to see some wheels on it that I had in the stash............
