  1. Thanks, Harry......... I thought the black base was the trick, even found that spaz stix makes a base for use with it's product. Some of my family is going to the next town and hopefully stopping by a hobby shop for me this weekend, maybe they'll have what I need......
  2. Yea, Friend....... Those are some BBS wheels I got in a trade on here. Thanks! Have you tried to put the decal on the hood yet? Be careful, the wetness sheets out from under the decal as soon as it is placed, making it hard to move into position. Maybe some setting solution would help...............
  3. Finally done with this one! The kit itself was a joy, until it came time to fit the separate front end. Probably not perfect, but I think it turned out okay............ Thanks for looking and feel free to comment, good or bad......!
  4. Thanks for the kind words, gents.....! She's my buddy, man, and she does good.......
  5. If you drop something in the sewer, you tie the lock to the twine, cover the bottom with the jelly, and hope that what you dropped will stick to it.......... I think?
  6. Wow, LowLife ! ! You put a lot of work into that lowrider!..... Can I ask how you chromed the suspension pieces? I'm planning a lowrider build and would like to chrome the frame....
  7. So my niece is 13 now! She's worked all summer at a local race track at the concession stand. She saved all summer the money she was earning. Now it's back to classes and she was able to buy herself a laptop for school. I thought it pretty cool that she was responsible enough to know if she wanted something she had to work for it. She's a pretty bright kid...............
  8. I just built mine as a curbside, with no engine because I knew about the poor fit and detail...........
  9. Where do you order your Spaz Stix from, Harry? and Do you put it on in mist coats, or wet coats? I have a lowrider pickup planned, and it involves a chrome chassis....... It looks beautiful, by the way!
  10. Thanks for the reply, Snake! Did you try them over a black base? I was reading up on the Krylon one and one person said it needs a silver as a base. I believe they are a modeler, said they were building an Enterprise..........
  11. I would like to take a try at replicating chrome. In you guys opinion, what's the better product in aerosol? I guess it's narrowed down to DupliColor, Spaz Stix, Krylon makes one, and then there is the spray alclad.......I want something durable........ Thanks for taking the time to respond!
  12. I guess I am turtley enough for the Turtle club.......! Nah, It happened one time when a new member had just joined, I think it was validating their account but somehow it showed up on my computer.... I've seen it several times.
  13. I like to show the progress I make on my builds here, because the friends and family I have don't really understand what goes into doing a good job on a model. The guys here get it, and can appreciate time into something.......... Plus posts are what keep this forum active, interesting, and most important, entertaining..........
  14. Thanks, fellas........ and Happy Birthday, Bruce!
  15. This turned out really sharp.....!
  16. Thank You, Carl....... !
  17. Every once in a while I get across the top of the screen "Your Account Has Been Validated"....... Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! I'm never logged in when it happens, I guess it's just a site quirk?
  18. I've always loved an A-Bone Hiboy, this is gonna be really nice when you finish!
  19. Thank you guys! The body is Dark Shadow Gray metallic from DupliColor............
  20. This is a really nice kit! You'll enjoy it........ Just be sure to test fit the engine bay a lot, it's in four pieces!
  21. I really appreciate the nice comments, guys! I wish my photography was a little better, though..........
  22. When you get your MRI done, Harry, you may have to see if they have a machine that you can stand in, that's what they used on Dad when he blew out his shoulder. He's a big guy too, and the table machine was too small for him to fit into........... You guys bemoan the Pocher kits for lack of detail so much, They almost don't seem worth the price, but this kit seems to outshine those with the kit supplied details and may be more for the money! Awesome work, Harry...........
  23. Thanks a bunch, Guys.........!
  24. Thanks, Fellas!
  25. Finally finished this one........ Nice kit, but I probably didn't do it justice.. The front bumper has been fixed, didn't notice it sagging until I took the pics....... Hope you enjoy! and feel free to comment.........
