Cover versions of songs by "nobodies"
JollySipper replied to Harry P.'s topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I'm surprised that Tool lets anyone do covers of their music..... You can't even download MP3s of their stuff, or listen to it on internet music sites. If you want to hear their music, you have to buy the album........... -
Hey, Guys..........! I thought about the two tone, but the tab on the body that goes between the rear fenders would have to be painted to match the fender unit....... If it's nice out tomorrow, I can reprime and prep, hopefully the next day paint and clear.........
-
Harry, I don't think but about a third of your's have been answered, if that many.........!

I left my throne a million miles away, I drink from your tin, I sing your blues every day, Now give me the strength to split the world in two, I ate all the rest and now I gotta eat you.................

"My Friend Fats" by Primus................
-
Well, I got the fenders stripped the best I could, I used oven cleaner and it made pretty quick work of the paint! The body was fine, I just hope I can get the silvers to match the body to the fenders.........

Yep! Correct.............

I drove a similar truck just across my state to Tennessee, It burned a set of points and had over-heating problems.......... To drive an old truck the distance you are talking, you would have to stock up on a few parts, (I would anyway) like an ignition module, ballast resistor, points and condenser, maybe flush the radiator and change the water pump......... Hot Rod magazine editor and Road Kill host Freiburger has rescued a few cars from the desert and drove them to California, so a car that has been sitting a while making the trip is possible, if you take the proper precautions...... By the way, I love the old sweptline trucks, and will own another one day..........

May you see, It's not me, it's not my family, In your head, in your head, they are fighting, With their tanks and their bombs, and their bombs and their guns, In your head, in your head, they are crying.........

"Sober" by TOOL................

Had to do a repaint on this....... The sags in the clear just looked worse the more I looked at them! Minor set-back, I'll be doing final assembly soon, hopefully..........

Why are so many hunting Max Wedge parts?
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thank you for the replies, Guys........... So which engine would be most correct for a '63? The Moebius one, or one from a Lindberg kit? -
Hey, Mitch.......... The engine isn't wired or anything. This build is box stock, aside from the wheels, tires, and skirts........... The distributor is molded into the intake, one of this kit's few design flaws.......
-
I'm just curious as to why some of you guys are searching MW engines and such. The Moebius Belvedere I supposedly has a wedge engine, and it being a new tool, one would think it would be more desirable. The reason I ask is because I want to mix a '63 JoHan Fury and a more modern tool kit to create my own beast............. Thanks for any insight on this......!

The back of that ladies ice cream truck says "Caution: Children"........ That must be where she keeps them!
-
That is correct.............

I will find a center in you, I will chew it up and leave, I will work to elevate you, just enough to bring you down............

"And then we lie beneath a shady tree, I love her and she's loving me, She feels good, she knows she's looking fine, I'm so proud to know that she is mine..........." ------------------------------------------
-
Thanks, Mitch, for the compliment! The exhaust is just the kit supplied pieces, the turn-down tips are molded that way......... This is a very nice kit, one of Monograms better ones....... As soon as I learn to chop a roof, I want to build one based on James Hetfield's "Crimson Ghost" '37 coupe.....
-
Thanks for your input, Chad! It's too late to modify the suspension any now that everything is painted, though............
-
Thought I would show you guys how my paint turned out! I got a little bit of a sag in the clear, on the lower right front......... nothing that I can't live with and polish out in the future..........
