They are remodeling our apartments, so most of my model stuff is put away. However, I was able to sneak in a paint job over the long weekend. I'm pretty far along on this one, just the suspension and engine need paint and assembly....... Primer and paint are DupliColor, clear is Rustoleum. Interior is a pink color called Sweet Pea from Rustoleum......... Plan is to use Pegasus 4 bar spinner wheels and have a slight foward rake.......... All comments are welcome!!

Hey, Rob! How about a cowl-induction scoop with a box under it leading air from the cowl to the carbs? It might pull more air in because at speed there is a vortex at the base of the windshield.......

I believe one of the round decals with the bird in the center goes on the trunk lid above the right taillight..... Edit... I told you wrong, friend, sorry..... the bird with lettering under it and no circle goes on the trunk, above the taillight.... It's the one between the points of the red hood bulge decal......

Hey, friend...... I may can answer a few of your questions....... Finding some trucks on craigslist will give you an idea of what people may be asking for them, and in what condition. There is a site called searchcraigslist.org just type in "sweptline" and you get all results with that key word.. They put a couple of "hot rod" packages on these trucks, which are pretty rare now. One was called The Dude, it had a 383 but were all long beds. Another was called the Custom Sport Special (CSS) also a long bed, but had a bigger engine than the Dude....... I used to own a '71 Short box sweptline, and wish I still had it......... loved that truck!

If you decide to use Dupli-Color spray, you need to use their primer, as it will craze the WalMart primers...... Your Rustoleum clear should work on any paint, including the DupliColor......

My first car was actually a project car that I purchased before I bought myself a car to drive...... it was a '67 Plymouth. Paid $800 for the project, but only paid $100 for my driver!! The guy saw that I was buying the driver, a '74 Dart with a slant six, with my own money, so he cut me a deal.............

I have been using Rustoleum aluminum paint for exhaust and other bare metal parts. Problem is I can only use about 1/3 of a can before it clogs the valve on the inside. Anyone have a suggestion as to a better spray aluminum paint? How does the Tamiya aluminum lacquer look? Thanks for any help.....!
