  1. http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Acoustic/PRO-1-Plus.aspx I'm thinking of buying this acoustic guitar. I was wondering if any of you guys who play would please look at the run-down of features and tell me if this would make for a decent beginner/novice guitar. I'm thinking of getting a black one. They run from $120 for a laminated top to $250 for a solid top........ Just looking for opinions from someone who isn't trying to sell me one............... Here's a black one, Thanks.................!!
  2. Here's another one from MS Paint.......... I looked at a Black Crowes album cover for this one...........
  3. Nah, Friend........ I'm behind the times, just have a desktop. At the time I drew that I was using an old XP machine!
  4. That's pretty neat! I drew this using the old MS Paint on Windows XP...............
  5. I was visiting another forum, and this college student posted a thesis he had written. It was five paragraphs long, and was about the Entourage Effect of marijuana..... (something I'm sure he had done a lot of research on!) While I was reading it, I thought to myself that we were writing term papers like that in the 8th grade! I took Honors English/Lit in high school, and was writing 5+ page term papers in high school........... All with proper structure. This guy could barely eke out 5 paragraphs..............
  6. The one scene where the Valiant is leaving the cafe, the truck driver waves him ahead. It would have been more suspenseful and mysterious if you never knew if someone was driving the truck..... Kind of have the "possessed" vehicle, Christine thing going on.........
  7. I doubt BucketHead will be with them........... There was some bad blood between him and Axl. Seems B-Head was only using GN'R as a spring-board for his own career.......
  8. Sorry, Ed, I don't know what you mean?
  9. Thanks for the replies, Guys........ All the good rock groups of the '60s were British, Cream, Jethro Tull, Zeppelin, the Who.... I've listened to the Beatles on the radio forever, but never really tried to understand their "movement"......... as of late they have crept back into my subconscious and I'm wanting to learn all I can about them!
  10. Yes, The Blue Album is the second of their greatest hits albums...... My parents have both the Red Album and the Blue album on vinyl. I know they changed their approach to music making because the fans were getting so crazy, so Sgt. Peppers album was born........
  11. I'm wondering if there is a certain order that I should be listening to their albums in. Rhapsody just got their entire catalog, so they have all of their albums! Also, what's up with them referencing other songs in their music? Everyone knows "I am the Walrus", in another song John says "The walrus was Paul" Are they trying to explain the movement behind their music? I've been listening to The White Album a lot, along with Sgt. Peppers........... The Blue Album seems to have all their better stuff, from later in the group's being together. Thanks for any attempts to steer me in the right direction!!
  12. I got a '69 F100 as an early gift and have been making progress on it, but my favorite gift was this shirt...... My family knows me all too well............. !
  13. I was just curious as to what holiday movies you are enjoying with your families today.......
  14. Correct, friend! and Blind Melon covered it, it's on their Nico album................
  15. "They gave him 10 for 2, What else can those ol' Judges do?" Extra points for the cover artist, and Super DUPER Bonus if you know what "10 for 2" means............ Remember the Reason for the Season...........
  16. Yankovic almost got into some legal trouble over that song! Seems that Coolio never gave him permission to parody his song "Gangsta's Paradise"........... Still, in the 80's and 90's, if Weird Al made fun of you, you'd known that you had made it........!
  17. Amish Paradise? by Weird Al....
  18. @Charlie....... Thelonious Monk was one of those artist that people didn't "get" when he was still living. It wasn't until after he passed that he was hailed a genius because of his work........ He was born here in the big NC!
  19. Seems like I've heard of this group before.........!
  20. I like most of Tom Morello's music...... he's proof that you can make any sound you want with a guitar!
  21. I almost forgot the two most important aspects of making music, writing and producing! I would have Alan Parsons produce, and probably Claypool as lyricist as he's already in the band...........
  22. Yea, Buckethead is an awesome player! His ego gets the best of him sometimes, though............... He had a chance to play for Ozzy, but he wouldn't let Ozzy call him by his real name, only "Buckethead".............
  23. I believe the '90 Mustang LX Drag Car has Drag Lite wheels..... Weld 5-spokes, right?
  24. If you could build a band, who would be in it? Here's my line-up.................... Les Claypool from Primus on bass, Danny Carey from Tool on drums, Dave Matthews on rhythm, Chris Robinson from The Black Crowes for vocals, Buckethead on lead guitar.......
  25. Yea, I guess there's more than one way to skin a ship...... err, rig a cat...!! I am still curious as to tightening the lines with the wood lime solution, if you care to share..........
