I just picked up the tamiya kit $29 and some change. Some of the others on eBay were over $50.

I picked up a weathering kit at hobbytown the other day and I think it made the truck. I was skeptical on the powders at first but they really work well. I put the bed on there just to show the difference between the cab being weathered more. It also got new wheels from the revell 65 chevy stepside. I am going to put a wood floor in the bed also.

Im not aware of one being made. Is there a plastic kit or a resin kit?

Heres what I have so far. Its not exactly what I was going before but then again Im not dissapointed in it either. Any suggestions are welcomed.

The truck looks really good. How did you do the lettering on the doors?

I have more pictures coming soon, I will have them within the next night or so. I got the body in paint today. The truck is going to be a faded out gloss black with mulitple other colors showing through. I got some white, blue, red primer, and some gray primer that I am going to sand out. I cant wait to start sanding but Im going to give it a day or so before I mess with it. I dont want to have to paint it again. I am building this for a contest May 11th so I am going to have a lot more updates in the next few weeks.

Not much progress but I picked up some new wheels and tires at a swap meet yesterday.

Im going for a rat rod style build. Its not going to be very detailed but I am going to put a ls1 in it. I got rid of the mold lines on the cab.

They are similar but its a different truck. The one on fast n loud didnt sit quite as low.

Like Roger said there is a Hobby Town and a Hobby Lobby. I go there quite often. Unless you have to have a new kit Hobby Town is pretty high on some of their kits. They had the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 for $40 while hobbylobby had it $23.

Well the truck isnt done and I'm about to leave. I ran into some problems on the body when painting. I will have some pics tonight when I get back of what I did manage to get done.

I picked this Chevy 1500 up off ebay the other day. I gave $10 for it which will make a nice shop truck style build. It's just going to be a simple build as I hope to finish it tomorrow night. Tomorrow night will probably be a long night but there is a contest on saturday and I thought why not throw this together. It wasnt a glue bomb but it was on the rough side. The truck will receive new paint and almost all new parts. I was able to get almost everything from a buddy tonight that didnt need the majority of the kit. Heres the truck as it sits since I got it in the mail today. Here is the look I am going for.

I got this bike in a lot today. I've never seen one and was wondering if someone could tell me anything about it.

I really have to get going on this car now. The contest Im building for is september 28th. Latest progress is my leaf pack and driveline brake.

Thats a score, I tried to use a 40% off on a woody that was on clearance but they wouldn't do it.
