  1. These are all curbside, if it wasn't obvious enough. The blower and headers simply glue to the hood. When I rebuilt mine for the second time, I cut a hole and recessed the blower assembly. In retrospect, I should've moved it a smidge closer to the windshield. I didn't use the headers, cause it didn't make sense how you would open the hood, it's not a drag car with a fiberglass nose, after all. These came with a motor and the electonics to motorize them. After crashing it few times in the kitchen and breaking the lower a-arm off, I pulled the motor. Here's a shot of the interior, I moved the seat and dash forward a bit, and added soem clutter. AFAIK, they all have the same floor/interior. The bottom of the floor resembles an armored car, and there is an escape hatch. And here's the woman. I've never seen any otehr pictures of the figures, so I don't know if they are all the same or not. EDIT: brainfart, The female with the Interceptor appears to be the same: http://madmaxmodels.com/mpinterceptor.html and for more general info on these: http://madmaxmodels.com/madpolice.html I sent him some more stuff, so the site shoudl be updated with more Mad Police pictures, "soon".
  2. There were 4 different kits in the series, but the Destroyer seems to be the most "common" one. There was the Interceptor, which was a 79-81 Trans-Am with the missiles, Venus, an 81-84 Celica-Supra with a vulcan cannon mounted on the passenger door, and Farcon (engrish misspelling of Falcon?), an early 80's Nissan 280sx/Silvia with a recoiless rifle mounted on roof infront of the sunroof. Each kit came with a male driver and a female officer, there was the futuristic helmet which could be used on either. The kits shared some of the armor, so whichever one you got, your sprue would have extra pieces.
  3. That would be fine. As far as a new build, I'd have to look around and see what qualifies. I'm mostly working with rebuilds and a bunch of glue bombs for parts at the moment.
  4. The Final car in this assortment is my replica of the Mad Police Interceptor. I couldn't Find one, so I made my own. I used the Monogram-revell Street Machine Firebird adn converted it to a Trans-Am with a hardtop. Although, I'm not sure if you could get a hardtop TA, I wanted a solid roof for the lightbar. This is what the box would have looked like: And my replica:
  5. Next I have my re-rebuild of Fujimi's Mad Police Destroyer. I got this kit when I was probably 12 or 13. The kit makes no mention of what the cars are, but I have researched it and have found this to be a Nissan Cedric 430, they were a semi-luxury car, often used as police cars or taxis. I've tried to restore this kit to resemble the boxart.
  6. Next, I have a early 80's Toyota Soarer. Overseas, this was Toyota's competitor to Nissan's Skyline. It has a straight-6 turbocharged engine, salvaged Russian machine gun, protective armor bumper and wheel arches, handholds for the gunnere, radio equipment and storage racks.
  7. "Jason Smith - finally registered after two weeks of lurking" How could you tell that? Anyhow, Dr. Cranky said I should share these here, Although they're more finalized rebuilds, and not entirely new. I tend to build cars as they could have appeared in The Road Warrior, not overly armored, or armed, no zombie protection... Mostly dangerous looking hot rods. First is the Wasteland 57 Chevy. Built from 3 different cars, 2 Chevy Bel-Airs and a Corvette. It offers front and rear crash protection/anti-personell bumpers.
  8. I love vintage rally cars. I've been eyeing the few different models for this car.
  9. They look fabulous, but I won't be able to afford $16 for a figure.
  10. Looks just like the real one. From what I have read, the 4 front wheels allowed this car to corner faster, much faster than any other racecar. So much so, the drivers got nausea akin to motion sickness from a roller coaster.
  11. Excellent work. Looks small even in the picture with no other point of reference.
  12. In before http://youtu.be/QQh56geU0X8
  13. It's about 9 1/2 inches tall, so I would guess it's 1/8 scale
  14. This is Halcyon's Alien warrior with base & egg kit. Nothing too special, just lots of hand painting, drybrushing, filler, and clearcoated with Future-Simple Green mix.
  15. Wasteland rebuilding at its finest. I built this '57 Chevy from 3 different junkers to make one complete car. 2 different Revell Chevys, and an AMT Corvette for the tires and front suspension. This is Tamiya's Toyota Soarer, built stock then armed and armored for dealing with road going hostiles.
  16. Looks good. Don't care for the pink wheels much, though. I've had good luck polishing using Mothers Plastic polish, Meguir's is also good. I hear. Just let the paint cure for a few days before you try it.
  17. Excellent job. Not something you want to see in the rearview mirror.
  18. There'll be some scorching for sure, but these are just missiles, I don't expect the kind of incineration you'd get from an orbital rocket. Here are a few more views. I'm not sure what the image limit is, but I exceeded on my frst attempt...
  19. Somone has to keep these vermin in line. Built from the Fujimi kit, which is a Nissan Cedric 430. Built from the Revell-Monogram Firebird street machine, converted to a Trans-Am.

    VW 1300

Looks showroom fresh! Your decklid latch is on upside down, though.
  21. The material looks ok, but it needs to lay down flat. There's a hidden mechanism in there, and metal bows just like a headliner. Try to fold this down flat and replicate the plastic part you removed.
  22. I'm not sure where the wheels came from, Possibly a 944 or RX-7. Anyways, I took new pictures tonight.
  23. "Some say, he only knows two facts about ducks, and their both wrong." I'm gonna have to put a Stig in one of my vehicles, now.
  24. This is the Revell-Germany kit. I got it on sale years ago. The body kit doesn't fit worth a dang, that combined with a botched paintjob that I stripped, and repainted with the same results (Black and silver were incompatible) led me to make a weathered version. These pics are about two years old, but they're the newest pics of anythign I have completed recently. Need to take more pics of this and some other things soon.
  25. Nice weathering. I Agree about the ragtop, I looks too angular, perfect and untextured.
