  1. thanks for the great pics guys!!! dub, it appears from the box contents that you can build either the early metal bumper car, or the later plastic bumper cars, and it includes the sideskirts/fender flares and lower airdam for the even later version. it also includes standard single headlamp grille, and the dual lamp grille, kit is rt hand drive only body appears accurate, but it is a curbside, and what appears to be achassis converted from a motorized kit, but as bad as some ive seen. i will attempt to post some pics, otherwise i will try and email them to you..
  2. I recently picked up a fujimi golf mark 1 GTI kit, and i am in need of some reference pics, specifically interior, frt end , and rear end the kit appears to be of an '82 GTI i already did a google search for an 82 gti, and there wasnt much there.. any gti specific message boards that have a pic gallery??
  3. pics would be great if you could, Randy!
  4. might just have to get one of them, but I WANT!!! the wheels!!!!
  5. right this very minute its the Oregon Ducks v. Oregon St. Beavers Civil War football game, so not much modeling is being done, as I watch my Ducks crumble without Dennis Dixon. I very rarely have the TV on when I model as i find it too distracting. usually its either nothing at all, or some type of music, which usually consists of hard rock( Tool, Metallica, Faith No More), or country music. cant stand talk radio, or any other type of music except classic rock.
  6. I went and pulled my EM kit stash out, and the Celica is not an EM series kit. it is a "Hi-Mechanism" series kit, which to me, based on parts count and level of detail in the kit, is no different from the EM series.. here's a link to the kit from Hobby Link Japan: http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ07022 sorry for the confusion.
  7. great idea, looking very cool!!!
  8. absolutely beautifull!!! I have the Fujimi EM Lambo Countach, EM '76 Porsche 911 RS, and EM '84 Celica to build, and they quite honestly intimidate me!! would love to have one of those kits though...
  9. curious what everyone uses, and where to get it...
  10. looks good!!! great detail on the engine wiring! I am building the street machine version of that kit right now. swapped in a 440 6pak, and painting it hemi orange with white billboards.
  11. not as good as our work!?!? nonsense!!! it looks great!!!!
  12. how many of you attach body color mirrors before paint, and how many after, and what are the pros/cons... my concern would be complete paint coverage of both the mirror, and around the base on the body.
  13. wow, that makes the '70 stang look much better!! I prefer the '69 front end( and quarter scoops) over the standard '70, though the '70 frt end isnt bad. Jairus' decal treatment looks like something Phord would have done....
  14. I would love to be able to get a set of these from you if possible, I have the revell '69 Bee as well, and i'm thinking along the same lines as you as far as putting them on that car.
  15. are the center caps available to go with those wheels???
  16. I see we share some similar taste in kits.... thats about 1/2 of my list add to that: new-tool '56 F100 pickup new tool '79 Z28 new-tool or repop '74-77 camaro '74 gto new-tool or repop of an '88-'90 IROC '77 Poncho Can-Am '68 Skylark with GS400 option new-or repop Vega's and Monza's '74 T/A SD455 '76 T/A oh, and a '70 GTO, '70 442, and '70 GS455 stage 1
  17. Mike, what did you paint the wheels with??
  18. looking for them to fit the revell '71 cuda..
  19. I started 4 and finished 2 this year. I didnt finish the replica stock '86 Monte Carlo SS for my mom, as she had one brand new. and I didnt finish the Aoshima BMW M1 racecar that i started while in a hotel room for 3 weeks in LA. its the old motorized toy, and not too worried about finishing it. I have afew from prior years that have been sitting unfinished too: '68 Firebird 400, needs polish, BMF, and finish assembly '69 Cougar Pro-Touring, needs same as above '57 Chevy s/m, needs paint, redo interior '70 Toyota Celica, 1/2 done
  20. i dont mind the "ask gregg", as I find it fun to read. I would agree with more how-to articles, especially on improving skills, and detailing.... one thing i always liked about SA, was when tim boyd, or whoever, would build and detail a popular, ready available kit, such as the green '71 charger buildup, or his '67 coronet, or whoever did the 2 part red '67 vette buildup. these were all a few years ago. I highly enjoyed those, and it brought needed info for building my own kits.
  21. '69 Yenko Camaro 427/4spd, in rally green with white stripes, and the atlas mags!!! or a '70 Z28, LT1/4spd, cortez silver, black stripes, with both the front spoiler, and the tall COPO rear spoiler, which was made available late in the model year.
  22. Mike, I liked your kit so much, I just ordered my own....
  23. definitely contact either Marc or Darin, they would be able to help you out.. and yes, please do, I'd be in for 1 atleast, maybe 2....
  24. looking good!! you should get that hood to someone to resin cast it, I think it would sell pretty good.
  25. got some Testors Lacquer Hemi orange and gloss clear from the LHS.. and when I got home my order from HLJ was on my doorstep. in it : Fujimi Ferrari 330p4, Fujimi Toyota Levin (70's model), and Fujimi EM series Lambo Countach...and a set of aoshima wheels i hadnt seen here in the states before.
