  7. what are you doing going to a model car show looking for baby chickens!?!?
  8. so, being compared to the 1:1 world, a normal contest would be like an ISCA show, and a NNL would be a saturday night cruise in.. makes sense.......thanks!
  9. I understand where the "NNL" name comes from, Nameless National Luminaries..and how the NNL type shows were started, but whats the difference between an NNL show and a regular show, like the GSL type??
  10. sorry, missed that in your original post...
  11. what base did you put down for the green?? white primer, grey primer, white color,etc....
  12. Thats it!!!!! my next builds a tuner!!! got a Fujimi Mark1 Mr-2 and some aoshima rims calling my name... I like the color Michael, got a can of that in my stash to use for later.. curious what is was based with???
  13. I do have that kit to build, but it will be down the road. honestly, doing a two-tone paint job right now scares me a bit. dont have that much practice with it, and i need to figure out how to mask to fit specific decal patterns, and i have to mask off the white areas for that build. I'm concentrating on my single color builds right now.. any tips you may have for either masking or spraying two tone would be appreciated...
  14. thanks for the history lesson Luke.. I just recently got into building NASCAR, and I love building these older kits...I think Bill Coulter said that over a million of these kits were produced!?!?!? I just finihed the Bobby Allison miller kit that was the companion to this kit...
  15. I was thinking the same thing!! great build Bob!!!

looks good. and its not a black SS either !! nice to see one in a different color scheme... makes me want to get the one out that stalled last year on my bench. started building it as a moms day gift , as a replica of the black '86 SS her and dad bought new. hope to finish it later this year when I get this nascar thing out of my system a little.....

  25. My 2nd completion for this year, and I have already matched my 2007 build total. Monogram kit and decals, decals coated with testors 9200. box stock except for added plug wires powerslide tire decals tamiya white and clear. my experiments with replicating anodized gold failed, so i just painted the wheels gold. good news is now I already have my gold paint for my '88 Bobby Allison Miller Buick!!
