  1. Thanks Steve. Interesting that I was there just prior to asking and there wasn't a Picture?! Looks like the 2C wheels from the LS Kit. But then you knew that huh?
  2. I've Never had a Crispy Cream. But I Have been at the Door of a Pastery Shop in Solvang the Second they Opened to make sure I got what I wanted. Folks If You think Modeling is Expensive you've Never Been a Solvang Pastery Junkie!!
  3. Then Brian may I suggest during the Build you make SEVERAL trips up to Solvang for boxes of Pastries to keep your Creative Jucices and Energy Up!!
  4. Wondering if anyone has Pictures of Historic Racing Miniatures Chaparral Wheels and Tires? Also do you know which wheels they represent?
  5. Hey Michael have you looked into Model Factory Hiro's Full Detail Kits? LOTS of little goodies to keep ya busy!
  6. The 2d wasn't a CanAm Car. The 2E, G, H and J were the Chaparral's that raced in the CanAm. But ALL Chaparrals are Good My mistake, and you're right about Chaparrals! No Problen Bruce. My Avatar isn't just a Picture of one of my Neighbors I took. It also represents my all time Favorite Racing Team

  8. Ok, You've got the FUJIMI version. The Modelers has White Parts Trees. And as to Interpitation, heck over the years I've seem Chaparrals painted pretty much every color of the Rainbow. Your representation looks very nice.
  9. Hi Brian, You're ahead of me in Builds and it is always good to see another Chaparral get done. I'm courious just why you choose to give a Metal finish to the Air Intake, Spoiler and sides? You're showing you can do really nice detailing as is seen on the Wheels and the highlighting of the fasteners. A Clean build, just couriou about the finishing choices.
  10. The Eucalyptus Trees were in and of themselves a Major failed experiment that to this day Haunt California. Good to read your Mothers Friend and the Firefighter made it through it Ok.
  11. I was living in Campbell then and watched it live on TV while Firefighters, Reporters and Locals ALL ran for their lives with none being sure which way to go. I had a Friend that Lived there then (Now in Way Northern Calif.) that lost nonreplaceable Antique Telescopes and Mounts. The entire event was almost surreal.
  12. And out of the 20 different shades of Red you have, none are the RIGHT one for that build!
  13. I figure that pretty much anything goes from the standpoint of photographs here in the off topic area, as long as it doesn't violate normal rules, but I don't know that for sure. We've had some incredibly cool thunderstorms here this year, especially in June. They terrified me as a child, but now I view them as magnificent. Just the same until I hear otherwise I think I'll keep it low key Lightning dose put on a one of a kind Show, and as long as you know when you and your Aluminum Foil Hat need to get inside makes for one of the most photogenic things in Nature.
  14. Why, is there a limit? Nice photo too, i love thunderstorms. Glad you liked the Pic Kevin. I figure it's a Model Car Forum, not General Photography. I figure every now n then and I won't ruffle any feathers. FWIW I have two favorite time of year for Picture taking 'round here. Now's one of 'em because of the Lightning and the Second starts around mid to late October when the Sandhill Cranes return.
  15. Your Worst Nightmare the Night prior to a Colonoscopy....................
  16. Al, That looks Great! And I Really like the Paint choice.
  17. Heck Bill depending on where in the West you're better. Right now the Humidity here is 60% and not a bit of a breeze. and this week we're suppose to be in the low to mid 90's for our daytime highs. But the Views are nice yeasr 'round. Here's a Dawn looking down our Driveway from earlyer last week. Another beautiful picture Ed. Please keep posting them... Thanks Carl. I think were I to post to many Pics the Mod's would be down on me like.......... Taken from our South Porch
  18. Yes Sir that is the 101 bridge and yes the VanDuzen drains to the Eel river then past Fernbridge and on out to the ocean. Yes thats a filthy eucalyptus, pain in the rump. My mother says it smells like cat pee when she visits, seeds or nuts are hard like rocks, drops what look like live limbs and burns like a candle. Pretty Country. As to the Tree if it's near your House you might want to trim it until it's the size of a Picnic Table base. As you mentioned those puppies BURN HOT. They were a large part of what made the Oakland Hills Fire so bad.
  19. Times are changing in Germany Of that I have No Doubt at all. I was Stationed in Kaiserslautern at Kapaun Barracks, Kleber Kaserne and Bad Durkheim. While stationed in K-Town I lived offsite in Hohenecken which was a quiet off the beaten track Village and is now a City!
  20. Ray, below the Lit area I see what reminds me of a Pacman Ghost. Is that what you meant? So do I Tom, but I'll bet you figured that out huh? That's PRETTY! I'll even bet it wouldn't take you an hour to reach some place to go fishing would it?
  21. Jonathan, Is that the 101 Bridge? It's been many many years ago but I used to Fish in the Eel River and didn't that drain into it?. If it's the River I think it is, in the 70's it didn't make the trip to the Eel several times then either. Is that a Eucalyptus Tree in the Smokie Sun Pic?
  22. It's gonna be a Weekend Runabout for the One Eyed One Horn Flying Purple People Eater!!
  23. I spend the year of 1972 in Germany and Never saw Any Cars that looked like those. By the Way, Great Photo's Michael.
